I was thinking of taking a job at the local mazda dealer, and I was wondering if anyone else had experience in a Mazda dealer. Like whats theyre warranty work like? and anything else i need to look for

 

im sure the brunt of there warranty work consists of replacing and repairing rotary engines for the rx8, lol

 

haha probably, the manager was telling me some guys are afraid to work on them and he seemed happy that i was not only willing but wanted to work on them.

 

dont worry about the work, if youve been working at any dealership there all similar when it comes to work variety, though the good thing about mazda is you really dont have many full framed vehicles, one warranty item for toyota is on there old pickups the frame would rust out, so you would have to replace it....which means picking up the body, getting the frame, transfering over all the powertrain components, and puting the body on the new one...now thats crazy

 

What dealership are you going to? I've got friends at Rosenthal Mazda in Arlington! Great bunch of guys!

 

I already talked to the manager at Fairfax Mazda, I used to work in Arlington that 395 nb commute killed me though

 

Im @ Malloy as a Hyundai tech but I also do mazdas.. Just like every dealer, warrenty work is a main factor of every single day.. The shop doesnt turn any hours... so dont try and come down here please... dont make things any harder than they are now, ya know? lol

As for fairfax and arlington I work with a few guys who have came from up there.

As for rx-8 warrenty... not to much really... motor mounts is the only thing warrenty ive done on them, but most of the mazda work goes to the mazda techs..
