Question Anyone know of a good Washer/Dryer Repairman in NoVa?

I got a busted Dryer in NoVa that needs some work (if not replacing ) and I'm not tryin to get taken for a ride by a Sears etc repairman. Anyone know of someone local who does great work and has reasonable prices?

Thanks,
~Ramy

What's wrong with it? Dryers aren't very complicated.. It's just a heater, a motor, a drum, belt, bearing and some sort of control (solid state or mechanical timers..) And it is easy to get parts through Sears if that's where it came from.

If it turns out to be time to replace you might want to check at the Sears outlet near you. Friend of mine just bought a very nice washer & dryer set that way and saved a boatload.

Dave, I don't have the time nor the hands-on skills to deal w/ it. I just want an estimate to see if it's worth fixing.

Oh and yea, I looked on Sears' website; looks like I can get brand spankin new dryers of good quality for like $350ish. Not bad at all. But if I don't have to spend the extra money, I don't want to

So yea...still lookin for someone...

I hear ya.. Actually most of the Sears service stories I have heard have been pretty good. They are usually more thorough than Joe-handyman. Service guys can't sell, so they don't push for "gee, looks like it's busted."

Otherwise, there are places like:

Good luck.
