Any Penn State Students?

Hey,

Just looking for current students or alumni of Penn State. I'll be attending Law school up there so if you go there, make a post and state your major. I'm having an extremely hard time finding law students there lol.

Hey Pete

I'm a PSU alumnus. Delaware County campus, then University Park Freakin loved every minute of it. I was premed (one of the few schools out there that actually have premed as a major).

I'm guessing you're at the Dickinson School of Law, which is closer to Hershey, right? One of my good friends just graduated from there...very good school.

Oh and you should drive around in Northern VA man. PSU alumni ALL OVER. If it's not on the plates (like me ) then they have the Nittany Lions paw on the trunk etc...

awwww PSU is for people with downs syndrome, anyone with half a brain goes to Penn.

I jest, I jest. I don't go to PSU, but I work in center city all the time...

As for things to to in Philly, if you're under 21, go to ShampoO on Sunday nights. best club in philly, I promise you that.

You know, the funny thing is in PA, PSU is just a state school (sorta...it's half private). But outside of PA, PSU has a very sold and well-respected reputation. It's like "wow...that's a good school!"

Don't forget the Penn grads are out an extra $100k when it's all done...

I work around PSU alumni everywhere in PA - I'm unusual because I didn't go there.

Ie it's $100K more expensive to go there? As opposed to? Most of the PA schools I know of are private and much more expensive...

Yea...PSU prides itself on saying that 1 out of 5 Pennsylvanians graduated from PSU, and 1 in 20 US graduates graduated from PSU as well. Figures when you have 82,000 students enrolled at any one given time!

Yah i'll be at the dickinson school of law in carlisle and at university park. Just looking forward to it so far. My cousin works/lives there in carlisle so i can hopefully find a place to live and learn the area quite quickly.

Penn was $30k/year when I looked at enrolling. PSU was $13k/year "back then". Penn is a private Ivy League school, enough said. Over 4 years, that's a load of money, and I think the numbers are like $40k and $15k now. I'm a fan of good schools, but IMO if you're going to blow your $wad$ you should do it in grad school.

Dickinson is just 15min from me in Carlisle.

Dave, my bad. I reread your original post, and it made 100% sense. And yea, UPenn is a wee bit overpriced. Not to mention, from my experience (friends), Ivy League schools aren't exactly big on fostering a normal social life Too freakin cutthroat (although UPenn is one of the more laid-back Ivy League schools from what I hear).
