Any idea who it was?

North bound I-95 on Saturday (11/5/05) at about 2:30 around Arberdeen in a black 84-85 GSL-SE. Went by me at about 95mph. He had a passenger with him and was following another car.

Even my son (10) noticed and pointed you out. I have an '85 GSL in the driveway.

I was doing 80-85mph when he and the other car went around me. Maybe not 95mph but they were doing at least 10 faster than me.

I never noticed any problems with mine under 90mph. Never had it any faster than that. Just before I took the engine out, I had a radiator leak. I cooked the engine by going to an autox with the leak. Took me awhile to get home that day. I stopped at damn near every gas station for water.

I want to get the engine back in and driving again. I miss her.

I bet it's not so bad if it's only for short distances. I know Stretch on torquecentral is running low 8-second 1/4 miles in his FB with a Ford motor. I think the 200ft wheelies off the line would scare me a little more than the squirreliness at the top end

I used to drive mine regularly at over 120 mph for long distances. The only problem I experienced was some cavitation in the waterpump around 130 mph which is easily corrected.

If the car is feeling fluttery and squirrely at only 80 mph it may have worn suspension components. The aerodynamics do create lift at speed, but it can be amplified by old or worn suspension. A good air dam and spoiler/wing are the best solution.

I'm driving a Sentra Spec V as a daily. My baby is motorless at the moment.

I live in Essex but work in Annapolis Junction (next door to NSA). I'm on the 95's a lot (295, I-95, I-895, and I-695) but mostly on the East and South sides. I get every other Friday off but this one coming up is a working one.

Which Loews? White Marsh?

there is only one loews in White Marsh.. the movie theatre.. the other Lowes is the warehouse store.. It's to much traffic to try and meet up with someone at that lowes.. so i always say go to the movie theatre. I can talk to the guy this friday at loews cineplex and see if he wants to meet up there again next friday.. and we gotta get you a motor.. do you just need a motor? or you dont mind rebuilding one ya self? cuz i can find you a motor for cheap but you may need to rebuild it..

I don't even need a motor, all I need is a rotor (housing). I took the engine out and tore it all down. The easy out is removed but the plug threads are still in there. The rotor housing is toast so it doesn't really matter. The plating is coming off. So, I need a "new" 12A front rotor housing. There's one listed on one of the parts suppliers for something like $150. Of course it's used but if the plating is good, who cares?

I also need to buy a gasket kit and new clutch. The material is just about flush with the rivets.

Well i got my clutch from ACT directly... it cost about 350 i think.. i know it was over 300.. and the flywheel from Racing beat... and that was over 300.. why not just replace ya flywheel while you are changing your clutch? and i thought you were lookin for a 13B motor.. i'll try to keep an eye out for a 12a then..

$300?!?!?! You've got to be kidding. It's just a big brake disk. Althouth I may autox it, I'm not trying to turn it into a racer. Now if I had an extra 10 grand laying around I might have the ceramic coating and whatever else done to it.

I said the same thing.. trust me.. i searched for months to find the cheapest and 300 was the lowest. it was the light weight.. but try i'm pretty sure for your car it should be alot cheaper.

I think a standard clutch is like $140 (if memory serves). The first clutch was good for 130,000 miles, if the second one gets half that I'll be happy.

Stock will hold up to autox abuse. If I were doing "real" racing, I'd be doing/spending a lot more.
