2010 VMRC Schedule: Parts Meet, Drive-In Theatre Meet, Rotor Mania, Cruises, etc...
Hello fellow rotor heads,
This year we have a some exciting meets that we hope you will enjoy...
The dates are not setup yet, but these are the meets we are working on
- Parts meet:
- in the spring (this will be our 3rd parts meet with OSTC) every year it gets bigger and bigger. Mazda and Toyota parts.
Date: TBA
- Memorial Drive:
- (important note on our Parts Meets sponsor: Our sponsor who graciously lends us his lot to do the Parts Meet every year. His son died in a tragic accident and OSTC is coordinating with the community to do a memorial cruise)
- This will be a huge cruise so if you enjoyed coming to the Parts Meets please join us to pay respect.Date: TBA
- Drive-In Movie Theater Meet in Connecticut:
- Come join us and experience the past when people drove their cars into a large lot and watched a movie.
- Hang out prior to the movie, possible major event.
Date: TBA
- Cruises:
- We will have random cruises Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, day or night...in the NY, CT area
Date: Random date and times
- Function 7 Meet:
- This summer in between car shows and events we will head out to a Function 7 event. I spoke to everyone in VMRC (those who were present at the meeting) and they all agreed to attend one of these events. Hard to get these old schoolers to head out far, I'm trying chuuch!

- Orchard Beach Meet:
- Our NYC meet to hang out with our fellow NYC, NJ, Rotor heads.
Date: TBA
- Rotor Mania:
- VMRCs own car show. This year it will closer to NYC.
- For those who traveled last year, we appreciate your time and effort to join us.
Date: TBA
- OSTC Car Show:
- Hopefully everyone in the NY, CT, MA, NJ...knows about this car show. If you dont, than its time to check it out. One of the biggest well organized Import car shows in the area.
Date: August, TBA
- Trunk-or-Treat Meet:
- decorate your trunk and give out candy to the kids. Come in your costume, prizes, etc...
- I'm working on this to make it a nice event

- Possible Dyno Meet:
- Anyone that wants to help on this one let me know
Date: Its a possibility, have not had time to look into it
If anyone has anything to add please dont hesitate. I would like to be more organized this year with other peoples event, including E-Town and Atco.

Sounds good i like the Drive-IN, Function 7 Meet and Rotor Mania.
Ill keep an eye out for the part meet up as well i need to pick up some stuff.
You guys should drop by the Orange County Chopper meet too maybe put Flyers or just talk to the Rotaries there and get a few more people
i wouldnt take any offense to you guys doing that whatever bumps up ANY rotary meet is good with me
Oh an addon - Trunk-Or-Treat i like it! maybe you can work something out with a local mall (just an idea) my mall here has trick-or-treat hours that every store hands out candy maybe u can have them detour outside for a bit

What a coincidence I was just talking to DJ Nada about OCC Meet. I like what you have been doing with OCC and I want VMRC to participate in your meet.
I have not asked everyone yet, but I will make this an event that we really have to attend.

Kk when it gets closer and you guys are 100% your going to come ill give you an "earlier" time so u can all park together and my number so if your running late i can hold a set of spots.
If you ever want to have meets there just VMRC i could prolly swing that for you, we did a all rotary and only pulled about 100 cars and it seem'ed to lose interest right after
. All your meets sound fun im prolly going to show up to 3-4 this year

Import Parts Meet Sunday April 25th: Bridgeport, CT
Mazda, Toyota, Datsun, etc...parts meet for all import cars on the 25th of April.
Come out and sell your parts, buy parts, or hang out. We have a very friendly atmoshpere, even the cops come by and hang out with us.

Been a while since I posted an event after Rotor Mania! So a quick heads up VMRC will have our 3rd Annual Orchard Beach Event! August 15, at Noon until ???
This year is our 3rd Year at Orchard Beach and we are having a little fun. We are giving out trophies (left over from Rotor Mania, lol) at this meet (no entry fee to win trophies). You are automatically entered when you show up. VMRC will judge the event and will not participate, but we will have our cars there to represent!
I want to make this fun for you guys than the usual categories. So the 4-trophy categories are as follows…

Hey i realy want to go down to the orchard beach meet this weekend i just need to know if there is any fee i have to pay wether it be to see the cars or to get in the beach i live in ct and i know they charge to go to seaside if your car isnt registered in bpt...well if its nice out or packed atleast. also have they anounced a date for the ostcs this year?

There is a fee of $8 to get into Orchard Beach our event is free.
OSTC Car Show is scheduled for September 19th I will keep you and everyone posted on the venue. They are working on the permits so I will not announce it yet.

Cuz up here i recently went to seaside and had to park so far to avoid paying 75 bucks to get in down by the Beach area (not were they do the Gathering of the vibes thats free)because my cars not registerd in Bpt. Thank You very much ive been planing to make to a meet sine i first bought my 7 and now 3 years later ill finally make one. Too bad my 7 is still down though she should be set for 2011.
