Another super hot day.....this weather blows. I haven't driven the FD in three weeks

Heh I've been daily driving my FD because it has A/C

 

Mine's still in track trim from Monday at Summit—which incidentally was absolutely brutal.

Yeah, wouldn't want to drive out there to only see one other car. Oh wait that was last weekend...

I won't be there today, perhaps next week.

 

I'm planning to make my monthly appearance, and unfortunately still sans-rotary.

Think I'll bring a lawn chair and a Super Big-Gulp big enough to dock a jet ski in.

 

Presently it "feels like 103". I will probably not crawl out from under my rock today.

 

Too hot for me, especially with no A/C. I'll post pics later of mine lowered though.

It was a bust. Though 2/3rd of the usual crowd was there, there was zilch rotary representation. Frankly, I'm not surprised with the oppressive heat. So be glad you didn't attend.

 

Funny story for you guys. I daily drive my Rx-7 and it was sitting out in the parking lot on Friday. I left work early on Friday and as such, the shadow from a tree that usually does its work of cooling down my car for about an hour or two before I leave hadn't quite reached my car yet. I have a new mechanical temp gauge that is in its pod but not hooked up yet (the lead is just kind of stowed amid the rest of the wiring in the foot-well). When I got in the car, the gauge was reading 170! WTF that can't be right? But, that's what I get for having a black car I guess...

Man that was a hot drive home (no A/C). On the positive side, when I opened up the windows even the 100 degree air felt relatively cool.

Potentially, I gotta get up early tomorrow for the full sized variety. Might still be able to talk me into it though.

 

Their schedule is open from 8:30 to 10.

 

I didn't even know that kartin facility existed. Too bad I'm booked. Think I'll try to make it after I get back.

 

I'll be there around 6:30 - 7ish. Might even be able to make the karting.

Exactly why you want to go to an AutoX in the first place. Learn to drive fast and improve your skills in a safe and controlled environment. You can't really break anything either ;P One of these days
