I wasn't going to go that far since I have not met him yet. lol However there doesn't seem to be much interest in a fun alternative even though the logistics of the scenic drive idea seem to be rather difficult. Or maybe he has spent too much on his car to loose to the likes of me. :-P

 

I like auto-x just fine and am very competitive at it, but that wasnt the point of this. The original idea was to hold a cruise because this is something the VA guys have never done.

But, as it is looking now, there probably will not be a cruise/gathering. I might just opt to take a solo spin to Skyline or Harper's Ferry myself.

No CFA for me tonight as one of my daughters is sick.

I do have a route in mind. Rather long, but what are cruises for right?

Thinking of meeting in Manassas, right off 66. Head west and get off on 29 south and take it to Warrenton. Hop on 211 west and take that to Skyline Drive. Then take Skyline Drive north to Front Royal. Then hop back on 66 east for the ride home.

I was thinking if we met early enough we could grab a quick breakfast in Warrenton (IHOP) and possibly a lunch in Front Royal. Maybe one or the other depending on time or wallets. I think the route has an even blend of highways and byways that we'll be able to open 'em when needed and slow 'em down for sight seein.

Thoughts?

Does anyone have a set of clear FD turn signals? Mine are smoked and I need to pass safety inspection. If anyone would be willing to let me borrow them just to pass inspection I would greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if you can help.

Mine are clear, when is your safety up? I've always wanted to see what the smoked would look like on mine. My safety is up a month or so ago so I'll see if I can get it checked before tomorrow and then maybe we can swap them at CFA?

 

I have 30 days to change em. Just fyi they are not the upgraded smoked version just the stock ones with the spray tint. If you can I'd be down to come get them for sure. Let me know

 

I have a set that I am not even using. If I am allowed out tomorrow night and if you make it to Chick-fil-A, I'll hand them to you then.

Sorry I have been MIA. Just finished moving back to Ashburn last night. My 7 is at Piper's and I am off to Sao Paulo tomorrow. See you guys next Friday.

Hrm, it's gonna be getting dark by 7 and 48 degrees out by 9. I'm thinking unless we have a warmer day, turnout at this thing is pretty much guaranteed to suck from here on out Which isn't to say we shouldn't plan to do some karting/etc. over the winter months

Its a short list , Kazz diff, race axels, R1 oil coolers , wheel alignment. Then its a few more weeks wait and the car will get a new core ( thanks Moh !) and a Microtech.

I picked up the RX this week, so I may roll over tonight just to get a few miles on the car. That Kazz is no joke , and as always Piper did a fantastic job on my car.
