Ah ****! Checked the forum just in time. I'll try to roll up in my Jeep.
Hope everyone has been doing okay,

Dave

It was good, nice day, hassle free no cops, what sucked was that Megameet was happening same day or else we could have gotten more tuner cars, and rotaries! There were 4 3rd gens 2 2nd gens and 1 rx-8 if I recall correctly!!!

Roy did mention he wanted to do one more in the fall!

Nice. I was going to go, but got dragged into looking at open houses.

Yeah, I had a nice time. There is definitely ZERO shade out there though and that sun was beating down! It was altogether great weather though. The drive was fun and I didn't get stopped either. Oh yeah, it's not actually a BBQ - more like grilling....burgers and dogs. So my appetite for good 'que was not quenched. There were all kinds of cars and most were in pristine condition. Made me feel a bit lazy I didn't wipe a thing down. Three Mazdas got a trophy and there were only four Mazdas entered.....guess where I was?

The only thing is....my idle is all jacked up now. The car had been sitting a month under cover. I just fired it up, got up to temps and drove the 45 miles there. A few quick bursts of acceleration but nothing crazy. It rode great. On the way back, right out of the lot, the idle sat at 2k while parked and it didn't go down. It ran a bit hotter coming back too...200C at highway speeds and up to 220 at one point. It was at 180 the ride up. The idle does fluctuate with the lights so probably has to do with voltage or something? Hopefully it's an easy fix. I did have a suspicion of some overzealous car show spectator doing something to the engine.....maybe a bikini model pulled a plug?

Here are two shots my friend took.

Yes, I was hoping Erik's FD was running but it's out of commission and he sounds pretty fed up with it. We've all been there. It doesn't sound like he's going to unload it though. Hopefully he'll be able to get it together soon and meet up with it.

Also, Vlad, let me know when you're ready for those Shine parts. What timeline are you thinking? Like I said, I think a diffuser is in my future.
