Your going to rag on a 700go car that didn't make a 9 second pass in the two trips its been to the track? Oh ok, did you throw that 10.5 your 1st trip out? I doubt it. So I don't know what your bragging about besides I think we all know Ernie is going to crush that 10.5 pass soon enough.
I truly believe I could put the Midget in the hatch of my Mustang
If ya wanna get technical, I ran a 10.70@128mph with 450rwhp
and yes with 250rwhp more i ran a 10.90, but I wasn't running 38psi, which is where I made 700rwhp. I figured till I get my traction issues corrected, it wasn't worth leaning on the motor. So at 30psi I ran a 10.90@137mph with a 2.0 60' blazin my tires all the way through 1st and part of 2nd. But no worries, I'll get it

How did I get dragged in?
The Midget may fit, but I race cars not Boats!
And I don't do it a 1/4 mile at a time.
BTW - I've been off the forums so long, where did all the emotion pics go that you can inset in the message? They used to pop up when you would reply?
edit - OK I just found them.....

Why don't you get off his nuts long enough to take a breath? My first pass ever in the car was a 10.72, and I could list my problems too, like lack of a line-lock, no two-step, a broken lifter, etc. I made a ******* comment about dyno racing, which anyone with an IQ over 15 (and the average Supra owner) knows is stupid and pointless.
You said you didn't see the need for more than 490hp since your running 10.5's. As though that is the be all to end all.
Then you go on to imply that because his car made 200hp more than you and is according to you probably 400lbs lighter he sucks or something since he didn't throw down a 9 second pass his first trip out. What's you point? It's apples to oranges. As he already said in his earlier threads he said he didn't run that much boost at the track. Furthermore getting a boosted 3rd gen to hook up is the whole task. It's not a mustang. Which should be obvious but somehow this went right over your head.
I can't wait to see some good times put down. There are very few rotaries making good runs at the track, and I can't stand seeing all the morons doing back to back 17-second passes in their "hot ****" buckets. I think you might find in the end that you need to go with a different type of rear setup if you really want to solve your traction issues. But I wish you luck with what you got.
No **** Sherlock! How many FD's with single turbos are even around here? Like 4 or 5? You expect to see as many as them as there are Mustangs around the Maryland tracks?
Secondly I have only seen one FD in history run a 17 and that was Ramy aka FdNewbie. Where did you get that "hot **** buckets" term from anyway? I'm going to have to use that one. Maybe it was Ramys car your talking about. I'm lost on that one.
Regarding fd rear ends. I don't know what Ernie needs to do with his car specifically but I have seen Ray go 9's with a stock rear end.

Everyone take a deep breath! Can't we all just get along???
I have a dog box tranny with a much longer 1st gear so we had to play with the anti-lag a bit to get launching down. At first we were coming out at 8500rpms with 30psi......which turned out to be a bit too high(duh...) so we backed it down to 5500 and 20psi. We'll see how it does at Pinks. Should be fun. Even though its not a piston motor I do have alot more than you think to get straight. Going down the track with 475rwhp is a cake walk compared to anything over 600rwhp. No biggie though, I'll get it... Peace.

Nothing about drag racing is easy, and I as well have a lot of learning to do and need the practice at least as much. Time to get the car sorted is always at a premium - hell, I've got the third event of the season next weekend and I haven't even gotten a boost gauge in the car yet. At least with the pulley I'm running it's only a reference point anyway, since it's about twice the size of the one I'd like but rules is rules.
Good luck with Pinks, I may be able to get down there but not likely. Try not to break anything too expensive
