Weber DCO/SP 48 = DCOE 48?

I hear that a DCOE 48 is the third best carb after Dell and IDA. I don't want to run either. My question is this; How does a DCO/SP compare to a DCOE 48? I was looking at http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/48_D.../19630.007.htm

if i understand the designations, i think it's basically with choke (DCOE) and without choke (DCO). i'm not sure what, if anything, the "SP" designates.
