Optimum 6PI and VDI opening points

I have an electric 6pi system on my car and I was wondering if anyone has done any testing to see when is the best RPM to have the Ports open and then the VDI.
Right now I have a "T" running from my 6PI solenoid to open both when it gets a signal. Low end feels good and from 4500 up, but I noticed that at the opening point I can feel a momentary loss of pull, then when they open all is good. I know the stock points are ~3800 for 6PI and ~5500 for VDI, and I have verified this with a test light, but they are not exact. Maybe some people with an MSD RPM switch could give impressions.

You are going to need to jump on a dyno and find out for your setup. Exhuast work and porting are going to make a difference as to when the optimum timing will be. Particularly port work as it changes port opening and closing. Easiest way to do it is to do a run with them close the whole time, then open the whole time,a nd set the opening point at the time where the lines intersect. Then do it with just the VDI.

you can tune it with your butt dyno too. it seemed to us like the 6 ports can open a little later when you mod the car (4000-4500, todd went as late as 5k), vdi we just had open all the time, they are always stuck
