are itb's worth it? questions about six port

I'm rebuilding an s5 motor to jam into my miata, so obviously I'm learning a lot as I go. I was gonna run itbs because I liked them on my four-banger, and also because it seems a lot easier to manage with a standalone, not to mention the throttle response. but does it even help for power, since six ports have that secondary port air reverberation thing going on? Does it require the stock intake manifold for that to work, and if so, is it worth it? Thanks.

most drag cars and road race cars run ITB's. not all, but most i have seen. but what really matters is they are correctly matched for the motor along with the manifold. Tweakit sells a nice set-up. very pricey, but very nice. many other people do to. theres also the option of making your own maniolfd with motorcyle ITB's or a IDA webber set up. it all depends on budget and what you want out of the car...
