HELP: 88 N/A Electrical
Hey guys im so pissed. I was just out driving around and everything was great, i had just put a new CPU in from my Tii and a theft deterent comp, because both my old ones were broke. anyway im driving around and i go to put my headlights on becasue it was getting dark and once i did that radio shut off. i was like ok, then a few seconds later i started smelling smoke, it was comming from the switch. So i turned the switch off and the smoke stopped. but now my warning lights told me that my hatch and door was opened... so i changed CPU to the old one and pulled the cluster surround off and dissconnected the switch while the car was still running and went home, now my headlights were on but no tail lights or anything. (remember by this time the switch was disconnected) i got home and shut the car off. i disconnected the batter and looked at my fuse panel and the one that is raised above the rest in the middle(a 7.5 i believe) was blown, i changed it. i went back to connect the battery and it sparked, i still put it on though went and tryed the switch... Nothing, and i meen nothing, no sterio, no lights, no buzzers car was dead( like if i never connected battery) i went back to disconnect it again and the + terminal was hot to the touch. so i disconnected them and then looked at my 80A main fuse, only thing left right? Nope it was still good. I looked at the car harness for the headlight switch and two wires were melted together a green and white wire and a red wire. i cut them apart and reatached them. but still nothing. So im lost.
If any one can help me PLEASE this is my daily driver and im Fuc**d if i cant get it running.

you have a short somewhere in there, that explains nothing else getting power and that terminal getting hot. you're gonna have to go through wires to see which one is shorting out. I can't tell you which one it is, but we just got done doing something similar. look from where the smoke was coming and start by tracing that wire. Pull off any electrical tape ans check EVERY connection.
