EFI ITB set ups
I'm in the middle of rebuilding my 89 6Port and planning to go to ITB set up. I'm looking for people who have done this set up on any 13b motor and how you set yours up,-- ITB choice, injectors & placement, rails, regulator, ECU.
Any info helps, thanks.

My Setup
13B Bridgeport
Injection perfection IDA style 50mm ITB's
IDA intake manifold
4x550cc Injectors from S4 Turbo
Megasquirt ECU self tuned
Bosch Fuel Pump (cant remember model) - 6Bar 250l/h etc etc
It all seems to work quite well, good luck with your setup
. Feel free to ask any questions if you go for something similar.

"E.Pow" -- what fuel pressure regulator did you use? This is going on FC so need to change to aftermarket. Will ITB your running accept stock injectors ?
Anyone know how good SARD FPR?
OLd Setup: Apexi SS filter, Afc neo tuned, N1evo
5/6 port rx8 insert
RB SS header presilencer
550cc secondaries
SR motorsport pulleys

I just use a good quality locally made FPR that hasn't given me any problems. They are fairly simple things so as long as you don't go for complete junk you should be good. Oh and with regards to the injectors you can choose the fuel rail that fits the injectors you want so yes stock injectors can work. I got my ITB's from www.tweakit.net which is a pretty good site in Australia, you can check out the different options there.
Does anyone know if stock ECU can run ITbs ? this will be on S5 n/a?
I want to keep the MOP system and wanted to know are any out their that do this yet?
apexi pfc is one ..... anymore?

One thing to think about if you would like to keep the OMP and run ITB's is that two of the oil lines plumb into the lower intake manifold. With the ITB's you will have to use an aftermarket LIM that does not have accommodations for the OMP lines so you will have to fabricate your own idea for it to work properly.

with bung just not drilled and tapped. talked to jermey from tweakit. great response time to my question.
Sosic.. what set up did you use on LIM ITB set up?....does your haltech control MOP function?
My Haltech can control the OMP but I am just going to premix. I haven't got my LIM yet but I am going with a regular IDA to 6-port, just trying to figure out the mounting style I want, Aussie or US, whichever routes throttle the way I want it.
ahh... tax time again. gotta love getting money from the same people giving us the shaft no matter how little it is.
By the way.... "EP" how well do you like running megasquirt? getting different opinions on how much the community likes this oppposed to other systems. affordablity is pushing me this way.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my megasquirt
. Very satisfying doing everything yourself and it really was a breeze to tune with my wideband O2 sensor. Havn't had a single problem with it and the car runs very well. My full bridgeport is actually very streetable, I can set the idle anywhere I want (have it at around 800 - 1000 rpm) and even under low loads the car behaves itself. I really cant find a fault with it.

Would it be worth it to try and use a set of hayabusa throttle bodies? I mean use four throttle bodies instead of just two, I believe that they are 46mm in size. I am just curious as I can get a set pretty easy and making a adapter wouldn't be that bad.
You might want to look into the Honda RC51 throttle bodies. They come from a 1000cc V-twin and come in two varieties: SP1 (54mm) and SP2 (62mm). That is measured at the bottom flange. They are tapered and measure around 60mm at the top for the SP1s. I got mine for around $100 on ebay.
They have injectors that attach to the body and have the fuel hardlines attached to the bodies. They come with 4 fancy 12-hole injectors, but are only 360cc, iirc. They're also fitted with a 3wire TPS.
The only problem is, there is no bottom flange. The bodies are attached to the bike with rubber boots and clamps, so the bottom of the TB is just round with grooves to grip the boot. I bought these for a PP engine, so not a big deal for me. If you wanted to fit these to an IDA manifold, it would take some fab, but would be doable. Also, the fuel fittings are banjo bolts, but could be adapted to -AN with little fuss.

I had considered using the original S4 N/A manifold, but cutting the plenum off at the 4 runners, and putting bike throttles there. I'd obviously have to do some reading on runner length and tuning, as well as seeing if I'd need larger throttles for the side ports. It's all figured out in my head, I just have to build an MS setup and actually do it.
I'm seriously considering something similar (probably suzuki TB's, not busa) and after looking at it I think it's easier to build a whole manifold than try and kedge some adapter.
