Question block off plates?

I have a 91 na and have plates for air control valve, bypass air control valve, and subzero start valve. I plan on getting silicon hoses and already have omp lines. but i wanted know is it as easy as taking these things off and blocking them off? and does blocking these make my air pump removable? i'm sure i would figure most of it out as i go but just wanted some knowledge first and couldn't find nothing on na's
