Backwards 13b.

Peripheral port intake and side port exhaust. Bass ackwards... Well this is probably a repost, but I've never seen this before and I've been thinking about it since 1999 when I saw pics of the first renesis drawings. Does anyone know if anyone else out there has ttried it and what the results were? Of if there is anything else besides this video from this guy?

There's lots more than just that video.

Their dyno plots are a calculated from thrust to bhp.

Also the variable pitch props they use have a max speed of around 2000rpm, so they use a 3:1 psru and tune their engines for maximum power at 6000rpm. Torque is of little importance since air is A LOT easier to move. You simply increase engine speed or prop pitch until the plane is moving or airborne.

Wholy **** look at all that torque!! I thought the absolute be all for a NA 13b was 160ftlbs of tq, and making more power ment draging it out to higher RPMs. Holy **** time for me to get my hands on a Renesis and start experimenting. lol

AFAIK no one has tried these in anything other than aircraft. They can't breathe as well at the higher revs like the stock renesis, but their mid range power is HUGE.

I'd really like to see ghow driveable these can be. They make so much tq down low it's crazy!!! a rotary making 200 ftlbs af tq at 5200 rpm NA is just insane!!!
