Unhappy Trying one more time

I'm trying to get my 90 gxl to stay running again, because taking it to a local shop didn't work, so if anyone is willing to help me figure out the problem and hopefully get the car started, it would be great. Around here there are few mechanics that have even heard of a rotory, so if anyone can come down i would appreciate.
If you can help hit me up because it's been a long 2 yr wait to get this car going.

Like already stated...sounds like the air flow meter. Make sure the damn thing is hooked up first of all. s4 it'll run for maybe 5 seconds before dying. s5 I think will run disconnected but will fall on its face when you try to drive it and get the rpms up. Sounds like it's hooked up but could be bad
