Ok, I've finally taken the time to pick out some of my better pictures to post. Enjoy!

Edit: click on any of the images for the full-size version

The meet was huge by about 2pm, and we
ended up moving parking lots just to get
the cars in.

4 1st gen guys..

We had a total of 8 or 9 2nd gens show up

And... lots of 3rd gens... I think 11 or 12 or more....

And ya know, even a 13B powered Triumph Spitfire

That is dedication right there...

Nice way to finish off a meet...
Rotary power in the Redrocks parking lot

I may have some video up soon, but who knows...

Anyone have any ideas or connections for our Summer meet? I would like to organize something that will bring in out of state Rotary owners, but I need a track and they all shut down!
In terms of suggestions, more driving would be fun, just the jaunt over to Red Recks was a blast and great to see all of those cars running together. A track would be ideal and I would be happy to throw out some cash for some sort of group rent of a track for some runs. I have no idea what the costs are but if it is fairly reasonable and enough people threw in it could be a fun time. You may have already done this in the past....

The drive was pretty cool, but it sucks having to drive so slow to make sure we don't lose people....Did anyone see me race Cooper on Alemeda? Anyone catch what my speed was as I pass the Radar sign? LOL

That signs actually on Bear Creek, and it only reads to 99, or at least that I've got it to read to. No triple digits..

His name is John and it's a 94 with tan interior. It actually was very clean but I think completely stock.

Good to know. And with that I might just drive my car to work tomorrow but I have to buy some gas at $ 2.90 a gal. I love America. I guess I shouldn't complain Europe is about $4.00 per...

He has a few things done racing beat dual, downpipe, and I forgot what else he said. It was the cleanest car their in my opinion, damn near perfect. I think I had the only stock 3rd gen, and the only automatic. Lots of people were laughing at my chrome stock wheels too, so someone needs to trade me for their regular ones.

His (the white one) is a very clean low mileage and not stock but a sleeper and built with reliability and power.....would buy it if I was looking for one!

Man that day sucked... I was having problems with the car running all morning (we literally got it running the night before) then when i finally got it out on the road, it was already 3:00.. By the time I arrived at hamburger stand, you were all gone, and I got lost like 4 times trying to find my way to red rocks (after I spent about 15 mins trying to get a hold of Parastie and Jim B (my cell had no service). When I finally got to red rocks you guys had already started going home...

Lots of gas, but I guess I got some break-in miles put onto it. And I got to mess around with a nice 3rd gen on the way home to H.R.

You should have called to let me know you were comming.....We could have waited a few more minutes!

Trap speed does mean something! I know ET is more important....but when your running a 11.9 at only 110 mph....that tells me the car is not pulling in 3rd and 4th gear! Or better yet, when I kick the **** out of a fully built Supra by 4 car lenths by the 1/8th mile....and he still barely beats me in the 1/4 mile....I have to top end!

Well you already know my answer to that and I'll leave that between you and I. But I'm sure you know what I would have said! Otherwise if you wanted it geared like a Supra you shoulda bought a Supra!

I don't have an rx-7 but I was at the meet a friend of mine has one but was unable to bring it. Here are some pics of the meet that I got.

We were there in the civic, mr-s, cougar and my mazdaspeed protege checking out the 7s. They were looking nice. Heres a pic I took of our cars after the meet.

LOL....I wrote that for you! Anyone else want to chime in with there opinion on that? Basically....Rhymin is saying that trap speed has nothing to do with 1/4 mile times.....and if my car was geared the same as a Supra....I would have the top end too.......I believe that tuning should fix my trap speed thus getting my 1/4 mile time down into the high 10's!

Now wait a minute, I never said it had nothing to do with trap speed. What I have said is to focus more on your 60' and hitting all the gears! Yes I know you don't miss any!!! Once all in all is complete then the trap speed will come.

All said if you had your choice of gears and all you were doing is 1/4 mile you would want to finish the 1/4 at the top of 5th. This however doesn't make it very streetable IMO. My guess is your at the first or mid part of 4th, 5th if your lucky! I have never really paid that much attention or been lucid enough to do so? Also being the last few time you've raced, the limiter has been set exceptionally low for what your engine is tuned to.

You need to remember that supposedly your engine will hold 10? I dunno, but I'm not willing to experiment trying something I'm not sure of! Especially with a semi-tune whatever that is. I don't want to be responsible for a popped engine! If I'm gonna pop something it will be my own! Remember the higher the rpm the whole car changes start to finish!
