racing/autoX near Albuquerque, NM...??

I'm going to be moving to Albuquerque, NM within the next few months for somewhere in between 4months to 1 year. Trying to get some info on the area, people, stuff to do.....and any racing/autoX/driving clinics/etc that happen in the area.

Thanks,

We have a really nice shop here in town, www.rotaryrx.com. We also have a decent road course track and a drag strip. We get together a lot a hang out, we just got done having our first annual NM RotorFest yesterday and we will be posting pics of that soon. Sounds like you have a pretty nice car. Look forward to meeting you soon.

I haven't had time to mess with it AT ALL since I've been here really. So, it's been doing a lot of sitting in the garage and the paint is suffering pretty bad from the unrelenting sun at my previous flying assignment in Del Rio, TX along the mexico border.

It's not bad right now, but not anywhere close to where I want it. Need time....$$....tig welding setup....

Well... never got to meet you when we both lived in TX. Maybe I'll get a chance once we both live in NM. What a weird world.

Anyways... theres the Rio Grande SCCA out here. I know some people who are pretty heavily involved with their Miatas. I'll ask them to find me a link or events calender.

Like Lookieme said, there's the RGRSCCA and also the SCCdvrg a little further north. They autocross at Sandia Motorsports, the Villa Linda Mall in Santa Fe, Farmington, and sometimes in Los Alamos. Here's their websites:

http://www.rgrscca.org/
http://www.losalamos.com/sccdvrg/

There are schedules on both these websites. There are several RX-7's that regularly show up to events.
