Ongoing New Mexico thread
lol o hey i saw a new one, i spotted silver and blue stock fc today, i think it was just passin threw though. i think it was a na?. so hey do you think my stock bmw diff will hold up to the 13bt?
I changed the fuel pump in mine and solved four years of killing the engine in left turns and hard starts. Man, it ran so nice- then I sold her. Sniffle... The guy who bought her lives in ABQ, and was lit up about meeting other rotary owners- I'll pass him the link. Now to pay the bills and buy a new engine for my 1979... I sure will miss my second gen though.
I'm from Las Vegas NM. The rotary scene is pretty dead here.. about 4 or 5 fb's, 3 fc's (two are mine) and 1 fd. I talked to the guy who owns the other fc and he didn't know what a rotor was, apparently he had just bought the car lol.
But yeah, i drive a 88 silver gxl, and just bought an 87 turboII out of texas.
And people here are deffinately shocked at how quick the "little 1.3L" actually is.

I was in albuquerque yesterday and saw a red S5 gxl parked on central and university?? I think thats it. It has mazda logos on the sides and a mazdaspeed logo on the hood. Who is this, very nice car.
That's DamionSoul, if you check out his avatar I'm sure you'll recognize it. Depending on the time of day you were within yards of me too. I park mine on campus. I'll be adding a 1985 GSL-SE to the NM list shortly. To be used primarily for SCCA.
Ken, awesome. Definitely let me know if there's anything I can do to help out. I've got a TIG and a reasonably well-equipped garage that I'd be happy to contribute to the cause.
Brain, I used to live in Vegas. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? Just trying to ascertain if we might've gone to school together ever.

Ken, Garage is here, sir.
Candy, I'm good. Lots new with the car. Look for me with a street-port and possibly new turbo(s) this coming spring (hopefully, you know how it can be). How are you?
Brian, Haven't lived there since ~95.
Speaking of FDs, I've got a carbon CWest front bumper that I'd let go for REAL cheap if anyone knows anyone who'd like it. 0 miles on it.

there is a drift event in Fountain Colorado tomo at 9 am. Its 65 bucks but the more people show the cheaper it gets. Its at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Just a heads up if anyone has cash tires or fuel to spare!
[QUOTE=kencunm;9599926]Hey Michaelangelo, did you get your car sold yet?

We all need to meet up for beers some time.
I've just added another 85 gsl-se to the Rio Rancho inventory. Crappy paint job, needs a new front right fender, facia piece between the lights, and some new tires, but it runs very well. No rust and all good glass. Interior is way better than I thought it would be, but not important since we plan on setting it up for SCCA.
I'm rather busy this week with volleyball but the rest of the year I should have some free time.
