I knew Rhett wouldn't keep it. Sucks but hopefully it goes to a good home and gets some major TLC.

Anyone know of an alternator repair shop that will beef up a S4 alternator to 110 amps or so? Battery warehouse thought they could do it but AS I SUSPECTED"these Mazda parts are so rare" so that was a fail. Cascade Electric won't either.

Ransom, is the Gilmore pulley set underdrive?

I am thinking of converting, main underdrive pulley is killing my alts. Waste of money, should have never bought mine and Rhett I am sorry I sold u the other.

im now convinced that rhett is retarded... but anyway, no they arent underdrives. i was thinkin about gettin them too. does anyone know where i could possibly get decently priced and conditioned T2? i wanted to do an na rebuild but my main goal is to be turbo anyway and i really dont want to spend that much money to do a turbo swap on my na. plus the fact that it is not easy at all....

ok so i need some input on a couple things... first if i end up doin my rebuild im gonna paint me car. vote: black cherry mica (rx8)
black
white
dark green (like aston martin)
2nd if i get the money saved for the rebuild i was thinkin of either going with banzai like i said earlier or what i just was thinkin today was gettin a complete rebuild kit from pineapple( check their site for details) with that kit i can also get new housings. so really i would only be without rotors and injectors and i was thinkin about gettin either oem turbo rotors from mazdatrix or going with the light weight rotors racing beat offers. i just figured since i want to be turbo anyway, why waste my time and money on an na rebuild that i will have to ship off and what not. and im friends with some rotary geniuses anyway so who thinks i could build it myself .... with some help of course *cough* (kyle, ransom, matt)

hey murray why dont you run an fd alt? Some minor wiring for an s4 but has a higher output. I picked up a reman locally for a decent price. Spaced out the name of the place but it's the shop behind bresnan...could also see if they might be able to beef up your alt for ya. Thanks for the info on the springs....I am really considering getting some for the rolla......it needs some love.....168,000 miles and goin strong

not much here. Found a very small coolant leak on my rear rotor housing passage that I plugged with quick steel. SO I patched it up with some more yesterday and am gonna test it tonight.

Plus I am thinking about try that VHT spray can ceramic heat treatment on my exhst manifold. Figured what the hell, between that and the new exhaust wrap my engine bay temps will be even lower. I have everything almost off anyway to get the LIM off so lets try it.

yeah, I sent my alt out to get "re-wound" and should be getting it back shortly from Cali. It will put out 130amps.

Hey Ransom, the hub Matt brought over today was for a S5. The timing mark differences were very noticable when you compared a S4 to a S5. Off by about 20 degrees!! So that wont work. Let me know when I can run by and check out your S4 hub&pulley.

I got the engine all back together tonight and lets HOPE the overzealous amount of quicksteel I used did the trick(thought I used enough the first time). Also got the 50MM WG installed and I hope that is enough, 60MM would be the next step and that **** is for ******* race cars!

I started to install my new Apline deck and you have got to LOVE Alpine. Their connecton lead layout is the same for all decks! Score! Just plug in my old deck connector and go. Need to get that alternator to see if it works.

I should most likely be at the shop tonight around 6. I only live a block from the shop so really anytime after work is good. I will shoot ya a text as soon as I get down there tonight. I have so many pulleys it might take a while. I think I have 2 or 3 12a sets and 2 s5 sets. and s5 turbo set and I should still have the s4.
