As you guys can pretty much tell, there isn't too much of a Rotary club here in Colorado. Does anyone want to step up and help get a large turn out of Rotary cars to the Lakewood Mazda meet on Sept 24th?

Feel free to call me,

Mike B

Hey Mike,
That's when we're going to be having the CMZC B-day bash that day as well. I hope to be going assuming my car is *working* properly, lol.

UT would love to be there

Hi Mike, I have not talked to you in a while... I am still here in Draper Ut. there is nothen going on here rx7 wise! I miss Colorado and meeting everyone at the meets and showing my 93 with still only 33,000 miles and running awsome still. I still need to try and head out to the salt flats one of these days I see a few Rx7 out there. I will have to try and make it back one of these days.

I hope to stop by this meet on my way out there. I'm moving to western Colorado and I'll be taking rt 70 through the mountains. My goal is to leave here in a weeks time by next thursday morning or earlier, so maybe I'll be passing through around that time! If you see a bright yellow '79 wide body 1st gen, it's probably me.

How do yall survive in CO without even one shop that can do decent work on our cars. Im a soldier currently deployed looking into options as to where to get stationed when I get back, and as my gal is from CO she is hellbent on talking me into moving to CO, but im also going to be starting a build on my FD when I get back as well like 20k dollar in parts kinda build but im a bit weary about moving to a place that has absolutely no support for RX7, anyone got any hope to this?

Any of you guys have a boost leak tester? I am trying to track down a boost leak or possibly something else.....anyone have some time this weekend or next to take a look at my car? I purchased the car from CA some months ago....and it only had 1 PSI....plugged some nipples....changed some gaskets and I am getting around 7-8PSI boost right now. Its a non-seq. stock TT set up.....but I think something is leaking somewhere....and I can't find the damn leak. please PM me.

So since there isn't anyone who works on these cars in the area, I assume there isn't anyone who can tune them either? What do those with single turbo fd's do for tuning?

Yup. 20% less air changes things around a bit. At least it makes it richer...

^Yeah, I've been reading how not only is there 15-30% less air depending on where I drive, but the loss of pressure as well and how it affects tuning. Also how a good rule of thumb is to advance timing 1 degree per 1000 feet. That helps me with my timing map. I just need to find out about an AFR guideline now - or if it essentially remains the same.

Huh, I hadn't heard about changing the timing. That's something I can play around with without needing an ECU. Once I have the money I need something to tune it. I'm seeing low 10's AFR up top.

Are there any stores in Colorado that stock aftermarket seats? I heard about Checkpoint Racing in Denver, but they seem to be out of business

You can't try the seats out, measure them, etc online.....

Hello,
I live in the Durango area. I have been seeing a lot of 1st gens running around and I was wondering if anyone here lives in the same area as me and wants to start a meet?

As I have read the RX7 support is very minimal in the Colorado Springs, also i keep reading that the winters are pretty harsh in terms of snowfall.....So with the combined factors and the fact that im about to build my car upon returning back to Ft Hood after deployment i am seriously debating taking my car to Carson when i PCS in December.....Trying to get an opinion on the subject and also how abundant is E85/98?

You have any idea how many rotards are in the springs?? 5 FD's, multiple FC's and a few FB's. The springs in THE place for rotaries in CO. You won't have much trouble when you need help. Also, both of those fuels are rare here. E85 is quickly being removed fron the stations here in Denver, not sure about its abundance in the springs.
