Well long story short, as most of you know I'm in Iraq right now and picked up another FD about 6mnths ago. It was a 94 VR. Well my Dad, knowing I loved silver FDs picked one up at auction last weekend. Its a 93 with 72k on the original motor. Flawless body and paint, perfect interior. So I'm gonna trade my old man straight across for my VR. Now instead of worrying about a new motor, single-turbo, and paint job, I can just focus on the performance.

wait, so how many FDs do you have total now? So your dad is taking the 94VR? it's awesome that your dad shares your love of FDs...how much did he pick up the silver FD for?

 

No I used to have a BB 93 FD that some of you might remember, it was the unfortunate victim of a drunk driver. Then back in August, finally bought another, a 94VR. Last weekend my dad bought a Silver one knowing I lover the silver with red interior combo. He planned to sell it if I didnt want it. But I do, so I'm gonna trade him for my VR and he can do whatever he wants with the VR. Alot of you newer guys dont know me, but give me 8 mnths to get the **** outta the Army and you'll be seeing alot of me.

 

just be careful! I will be around next spring and I have never met you. Look foward to it. I also need to meet the rest of you and show you what I have been hiding. Next year will be fun.

 

Sweet, can't wait to get mine down there. You dont see too many silver fds around anywhere. I've seen one other in MN and one when I was in Loveland a few weeks ago.

 

Yeah you guys will probably see me sometime in Feb or so, then sporadically until about August until im back for good. With any luck the car will be done by next X-mas. Thats the goal.

That's what I'm saying, but I got 12 more months left on my USMC contract. Just enough time to go back to Iraq in Feb.

Cody was the auction, up in Loveland by chance? If so I saw that car there for a few weeks before the auction. I was wondering who had snagged it.

 

Yea, I think that must have been the same one I saw in loveland on my way to Estes.

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure thats where my dad found it. Turns out it probably has blown coolant seal. I was planning a new ported motor for the VR, so it can just go in the SSM.

 

hah.........4 more years for me still debating on trying to get my old orders back after my duty with 1/7 and get obliservered for 8 more years
