headed to NM in July

Hi, I'm heading to NM from Japan. I'm bringing my FD with me. What do I need to know before I get there? I already have all of the import stuff figured out, but I've seen stuff about passing emissions... Does Alamagordo have emissions testing?

Alamagordo does not have emissions testing. Only Bernalillo County/Albuquerque has that. We have pretty nice disorganized group called Duke City Rotary on Facebook. Hit us up to join. We have occasional barbecues, car meets, and generally give each other a lot of support and a lot of **** too. Lol. You will like New Mexico and the people here. Look forward to meeting you and seeing that FD.

Awesome! are there any Tuners in the area? I'm in need of a inspection and a tune pretty badly. The closest dudes here in my local area are pretty expensive. I have the PFC set to what I know I can set it to without a data logger. She runs well, but like I said, I need some wrench time on here to figure out exactly what I have.

There are some speed shops and some tuners here in Albuquerque, but quite frankly, very few of them tune rotaries and those that do are expensive, slow, and conservative in their tunes. Would be more than happy to discuss this more with you in person or by PM. I don't really want to publicly dis the shops. That being said, I have a datalogit. not currently running my PFC but will be in the future. A very good friend of mine tuned his own PFC and is making mega horsepower (400) or so. Another member just had a friend tune his in Colorado. So there are solutions out there, just have to figure out which way to go when you get here. There is a rotary shop in El Paso which is closer to Alamogordo. They do some tuning there but I don't know how much they charge or if they are any good.

Awesome feedback! I might shell out the cash while I'm here to get it tuned before I ship the car. At least I know I will have a good baseline for any other tuning i plan on doing if and when I change things up. Where do you get the dataogit at? Is it the .nz website I have seen or is there a US distributer?

Again, Thanks for your help!
