Colorado Emission Testing Help

Hey guys give me the scoop on getting your cars emissioned. Their website says no tires under 17". When I called the guy he had no clue if it was for 17" wheels or tires. They also told me with aftermarket wheels they would not test it. If its lowered they would not test it. So all you FD owners give me your story. Do I really have to raise my car up and put the stock rims back on? WTF

They dont like cars with lips as it could get caught and tear up your lip and dyno. So put some stock rims on the back. Good luck passin tho, recommendation change plugs and run the **** out of it before you drive into the dyno.

Depends on the station where you go. The station I go to I've ran plenty of cars through with 18" + wheels. Some won't let you go through because they don't want to be responsible if they scratch one on their dyno. If you have a RWD car it's not really an issue.

You are right on with which station you go to. I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get my tags replaced. I went to the station down by Chatfield St. After sitting in line for a half hour I was told my car would not be tested. They told me because the air pump was not hooked up and they couldnt find the cat. WTF. Are these pepole that stupid or what. So I left and went up to golden's station. Told the guy what happen and he checked the car. Guess what? He found a cat and ran it through. Not even a mention about the air pump being "unhooked". I am amazed on how many stupid people are in charge of these things.

Is it unhooked or uninstalled? I'm wondering if I'm gonna have to bolt mine back in to get tags.. Which I intend on getting sometime this year!

It's usually pretty hard to pass without your air pump hooked up. For rx7's it makes a world of difference.
