Any Interest in a Steve Kan Tuning Session?

i'm gonna try this again since my car is in better "readiness stage" now.
testing the waters to see who would be interested in doing a session here in el paso. dyno can be arranged for full day or per car. would like to do this sometime soon depending on what steve has available. hit me up thru PM or email.

rotaries or pistons, we wont discriminate!!

Depending on time schedule, I would like to get a high boost map to show my cars capability (if still around).

What time frame are you looking at? That would be the biggest factor for me.

My clutch needs to be replaced, it was just dyno tuned by Mr. Kan on saturday in Atlanta and he couldn't take it over 9psi because of clutch issues. My car should be ready in October.

more than likely sometime around october. as stated, i have to get the commitments first, then set the date with steve. i wont do this without deposits first because last time i set a date many backed out for some reason or other. i will email steve and post dates he has available and then go from there, only after i get 5 cars at 110% commitments.

I'm at a 90% stage, simply because there is a week in october that is no good for me. Oct 15-22 can't make anything happen that week.

Count me in. I spoke with Steve and he told me that the Colorado club pres was going to be coordinating something but if you want to put something together that works too.

My car will be done towards the beginning of October so anywhere after the first week of October will work for me.

If you need a deposit of some sort let me know. I need to secure a spot for a tuning session with Steve.

Also, I do not know if you have coordinated anything with him yet but he is more than welcome to stay at my place in Boulder. I stayed at their house a few years back when I was picking up a car from their shop so I would be more than happy to return the favor.

I think Oct. will be a little late for me. I can't commit at this time.

Northeast up near, great american on Alabama St. We might knw eachother or maybe even seen eachother race. The rotary scene is not that big here and being a fellow Puerto Rican myself it narrows it down just that much more. I drive a blue RX4. Its been down for almost a year now getting a new motor and things like that. What do you drive? You have to knw Mario that has the fast *** yellow rx3. Who doesn't locally from what I understand.

mine is in the home stretch and hopefully i should be driving it by this week if all goes well!!

I emailed Steve and he told me that he had done blow through carb tuning in the beginning of his tuning career but nothing recent. He didn't seem like he wanted to again though. I asked him to give me a definitive yes or no so I can commite a 110 percent and he hasn't emailed me back yet. If he says yes you can definetly count me in. Ill keep you posted.

Yeah im in the same boat as you, if everything goes well Ill be driving my car by the end of the week as well. Put a new motor in it so it should run good. The trick is going to be to get it tuned just right. That's gonna take some time. What kind of set up you running? You don't have to tell me porting or anything like tht if you don't want to. Funny thing I have noticed, some people and not specific to El Paso I mean everywhere keep there set ups a huge secret. I don't care much for that, I tell everyone that wants to know. Besides we rotarys should not be competing against eachother. We should be stomping on those piston cars

Wow, sounds like a good set up! Your running extra pins, how much boost you putting through it? That's the computer I wanna run that or a haltec not sure. You doing the tuning yourself? There is this guy Roberet that is a wize kid with microtech let me know if you need anymore info on him. You prob know him to though he lives on your side of town, loves rotarys just as much as we do. He will be the guy hopefully to tune my blow thru set up. Anyways good luck with the tuning, sounds like she is gonna be very fast!

Really? Im sorry to hear that happened! What specifically happened? Did he blow the motor or did he instal the computer wrong? So your doing your own tuning then? Sometimes its better to do it yourself nobody takes car of your car as much as you would. Know what I mean.
