I found some free wifi downthe street from the track so I can report in.

Ray graciously offered me dinner last night and it was very delicious. His wife Cathy
deserves a big nod for making the dinner and putting up with another rotorhead.

I'll post pics of camp later.

Dave give me a call when you head out and leave a message if I don't answer.

I'm camped so far in the exact spot I was in last year but a spot under the track
edge trees opened up when I left for breakfast so I may move camp over there
but its only 25 feet away.

The car is loaded with the tent and tent gear, plus a sweet hammock, a cooler, and a suprise for Ray. Not really a gift but something he'll get a kick out of... I'm hoping to arrive around 4 but it will all depend on work this afternoon...

Brett- I can bring some sanding blocks and paper if you wanted to work on your panel at the event. Need me to bring any mud as well?

Hey Dave, how's it going? Hope those shake down drives didn't make another problem. If you can't get it going grab the wife's BMW and come on down!

That was another awsome gathering of rotorheads and race fans. I love the historic race cars almost as much as the modern stuff.

Just got home, Car ran great all the way down and back. Not bad for a 500 mile shakedown. That's how I roll. The FD always wins:D I enjoyed meeting all the new people that I did. A couple crazy fockers from Michigan made the trek.

World record was a predicted disaster attempt. Still fun though to get back on the track. It's has been since August.:( See you all again soon I hope. Lets see some pics. As I took Zero.

Nice seeing you guys (I actually introduced myself to a couple of you!). As for the record attempt, I think what happened was the day was changed too many times, there were a bunch of Miata folks there on Saturday for the Cup race and they were pissed that it was changed back to Sunday. Oh well, we gave it a shot.

Ray, I just got home but I did take a couple of pictures of the car loaded before we left Atlanta. I'll post them in a day or so. When we got home my stepdaughter asked how I got everything in there, I said careful packing!

What a great get together we had this year!! Hope all are home safe and sound, except Mark of course, sounds like he'll be wandering around the country for another week or two.

I really enjoyed my time there even though it was only for a couple hours.
I slept in at DGRR, didn't get to the mitty until 10ish AM, but as soon as I got there I went strait to the parade lap which I wasn't really signed up for (waiver?), but they let me go on anyway.
Then I parked and roamed around, got some food and some souvenirs, and watched the cars and race cars go by on the track. Headed home within the hour of 2PM.

Saturday was the day to have it. Not sure we had enough but certainly more than we had Sunday.

According to Mazda Motorsports site on Facebook..we had 186 cars on the track =(

Picture of loaded Miata up on the picture thread.

Yep next year we can take another shot at it. On Saturday this time, late enough in the day for people to have recovered from Friday night and early enough so it doesn't keep us from a good start on Saturday night.

See ya'll next year!
