West Michigan 1st gen. owners
Hello all... I'm a new owner of an 84' GS and would love to get in touch with other owners who know the in's and out's of these cars. I live in Western Michigan, and I see no other 1st generations on the roads. I don't know if they're all rusted out due to us living in the rust-belt of America, or none of them run anymore...
Anyway, if there is anyone that lives near here, please let me know... because I have been having a hard time finding anyone who knows much about rotaries at all.

Oh yeah, we're here alright! We've actually got a pretty solid group in this area, with most of us racing on weekends.
"Duke Hazard" lives in Grand Haven (he's my co-driver). You can click on the link in my signature line and check out some of our videos.
Also, check out http://mirotaryclub.net/forum/ That is the Michigan rotary forum. Hope to see you around sometime.

Thank you very much for the response! I didn't realize there were some owners around here... very good to know. That website you sent to me is awesome! Let me know what meets you and anyone else typically goes to... I'd love to meet some other people who are close by.
Again, thank you for the quick response. Do you have any pictures of your car? It sounds like you've put a lot of time into your car!

Thanks man. I bought it several years ago as a basket case. I've rebuilt just about everything on it now, and she really screams. I don't have any pictures handy, but the link in my signature line "autocross vids" will take you to some race videos if you want to check those out.

This is Solo II. Kind of like a miniature road course set up in a big parking lot using traffic cones. There is only one car on course at a time, racing against the clock, so no risk to you or your car (I'm sure you already know most of this already). It's a lot of fun, and a great way to improve your driving skills...
