I still have my vert, its still in good shape and just put new wheels and tires on it. I just need some motivation to drive it, I think I only put 2k miles on it in the last 2 years.

I think I need a turbo rebuild if anyone wants to come listen to it. Then slap on some new brakes and get a safety inspection and I should be good to go.

Yeah Id like to come hang, but id be rocking the civic, lol.
Im not even sure its the turbo. It sounds like it though, I bought it used. Ive bever head the sound before. It sounds like rattling in the exhaust, I think its one of the wheels hitting the housings?
You can really hear it when the car is under load, like forcibly coasting in gear. It doesn't rattle on rev up, but it does when revving down, in neutral. I don't think its an engine problem, because the car starts and runs fine.
Id like to take it off and take it to the Turbo Center place Eric told me about. He said he can slap it on the bench and figure out if theres a problem almost immediately.

Hey Guys, count me in.
I live in Saint James, Missouri which is halfway between St. Louis and Springfield Missouri.
I just bought my second RX7 after a lot of years, and want to get involved with other RX7 fans.
Had my first RX7 in 1979 and loved it, but got rid of it when I got married and had a child and needed a back seat.
Just bought a 1980 in great shape that is almost identical to the one I had. Now I'm going to keep this one and use it as my daily car, so I want to keep it serviced well. Right now, it's hard of find someone who can work on them or knows anything about them. Even the MAZDA dealers are hesitant to work on one this old.
I'm also thinking about buying another that I can play with on the track or in road rallys, but I'm not ready to make the jump just yet.
Feel free to email or PM me.
