St. Louis area Mazda Megameet March 23-25

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've posted, but a buddy and I are setting up a big meet and I figured some of you would like to know about it. Here's a cut n paste from mazda3forums.com:

I figure this meet will take place over 2 days. March 23rd - 24th. A Friday and Saturday, perspectively. Could possibly carry on over to Sunday if need be for any mods we can't get done the other 2 days. Yes, thats right. This will be a mod meet as well. My apartment complex doesn't care about working on cars in the parking lot, I have close to $9k in tools at my apartment, I work on these cars for a living. If anyone has any mods that need to get done, but hasn't had the time or has been scared to do it themselves, this would be a good time to do it. Springs, brakes, HIDs, intakes, headers, exhaust. Doesn't matter to me, I can handle it. Hell, I've dropped my transmission in my parking lot to replace the throwout bearing in my clutch. Viperkiller is really good with a wrench too, and I'm sure he will be here as well.

Anyways. Heres the basic itinerary as it stands now. This is all subject to change of course

Friday the 23rd
-For people arriving early, we can work on some of the less time consuming mods if there are any.
-Meet up for dinner
-Grand Prix Speedways for some go-cart action
-Bowling
-Hit up some parking garages downtown for a photoshoot, head across the river to a spot that will give a great angle of the arch in the background.
-Drive Old Jamestown - Quick little place 5 minutes from my apartment to get a spirited drive in.
-Head back to my apartment for some movies or video games. There is PLENTY of parking here, and my neighbors are either deaf or never home, so noise is NOT an issue. I could probably shoot off an entire magazine from an AK-47 in my living room and not have to worry about anyone calling the cops. And no, I haven't tried this. Laughing So if we are drinking and get a little rowdy, its no big deal. As far as the drinking, I really don't care what happens, as long as everyone respects each other, and their property. And no one does anything stupid. And if someone thinks they are gonna puke, there is a balcony for you to puke off of, and I expect to take pictures of you hanging off my railing. Laughing That being said, we don't even have to do any drinking, but if someone wants to, I'm cool with it. My selection of booze is rather limited, so this might be a BYOB function. And if someone is coming up from Texas, you better bring me some Shiners! Cool

Saturday the 24th
-Go for a cruise around 9am (details below)
-Get back at my apartment around 1 or 2 in the afternoon and work on the more time consuming mods.
-Mix in more movies / video games.
-Another photoshoot before everyone goes on home in case people weren't available for the one on Friday evening.

Sunday the 25th
-I'm leaving this open in case people still have some mods we weren't able to get to the previous 2 days.

*Cruise Information*
This is a spirited drive thru some of the backroads around the St. Louis area. The roads in general aren't patrolled by cops, the exception being 109. I know these roads like the back of my hand, and feel very secure in driving spirited on them. Drivers accept all risks of the spirited drives. I won't be pushing it too hard to endanger anyone, nor to attract too much attention to us. I'm not talking about going 100mph down back country roads, no I'm talking about going driving spirited down roads as long as it is safe for us to do so.

Starting in west county in Eureka, go north on 109, shoot up old state, go west on manchester / 100 crossing over I-44, continue going west, go north on 47, go west on I-70, go south on 19. Arrive in Hermann, have some good home style cooking at one of the restaurants there. Start heading back home for the crowning point of the cruise. Go east on 100 untill you hit manchester again, turn left onto Strecker, at the bridge go left again onto Strecker, we'lll turn around in the church parking lot at the end by Kher's Mill to double back and hit Valley. Arrive at Clayton...pulling into Crestview Middle School - end of cruise. Approximately a 155 mile spirited drive thru some very windy and fun roads. Should take about 3 hours to complete.

Now, in order to make this meet as successful as possible. I'd like to get as many people here as possible. If your coming from a far distance and need a place to stay but don't want to spend the money on a hotel, I'll gladly let you crash at my place. There's plenty of room here. There's a couch, and 2 recliners in my living room, and plenty of room for sleeping bags. I might even have an air mattress or 2 available. And as always, any ladies are hereby invited to share my bed with me. Laughing J/K

Go ahead and reply if you guys are in for this. I'll go ahead and update this as time goes on so we have a running list of who is going to attend.
If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll add you to our list.
