Not sure when your going to check this again, it was down a ways. There are a few rotaries in SD. I live in Sioux Falls. If your really into the car scene check out www.siouxfallsracing.com or www.605racing.com They are good places to get to know some of the local gearheads.
This particular TII I am building for my son. He is helping a little, but it is more to spend time with him. He's only 10 right now. It will mostly street duty, but I will play a little a drag strip, when ever I can get there (I understand there is one not too far Vermillion, but it is a little close to SF, SD). It is a big street port, BNR stage III turbo, FMIC, dropped the EFI to go blow through side draft Weber, converting the car back to a distributor engine instead of a CAS, full suspension, brakes, exhaust, custom interior, and a whole bunch of other stuff that he wanted.
This is a mild build compared to what I usually do. I've been working on and building rotaries since 1986, and have owned 22 RX7s. I've tried to leave them alone, but before I know it, I have another one or two at my house. Now, my younger son is wanting to build something together, after this TII is finished, so I may have another project started there.
What about yourself?

73 RX2. Nothing flashy other then the paint. Street potred 12A with a Weber IDA carb. It was built as an autocross car back in the 80's and has been ever since. I just updated the springs and shocks, new seals and bearings in the rear axle, after market radiator and oil cooler.

In the pits at a race in Mazda row.

In the shop during the transmission swap.
I love the car. The interior was stripped out years ago and is long gone. Its built to SCCA EP classing. She is a fun little car.

Saw you over at 605racing. Glad to see a few of up here. I was beginning to wonder. The only other RX7 that I've seen around here is a 87 GXL pushed off in the bushes. Once the snow finally melts down here, I am going to swing by and see if the old timer would part with it. My other son is wanting to start a build when this one is finished.
Hey Dustin i have a pic of your car that you may not have go to Automania sioux falls and look in there gallery your in there, i think its awesome, my celica made it on there as well back in the day
