For Sale: Beautiful 1985 GSL, fantastic shape, mint interior, near Milwaukee 53105
Hi,
What I have here is a beautiful, unmolested, 100% origional, surviving 1st gen Rx-7. This cost $15,449 new in 1985!!!
First off, the car is 22 years old so here is what is not perfect about it. The interior has two small tears on the bolster underneath the piping on the driver’s seat. It has one vent on the driver’s side that has a fen fins broke. The exterior has two dents. One light crease down the passenger quarter panel and the other is below the rear window, like they backing into something lightly. There are two spots of small rust on the bottom of rockers in front of the rear wheel, have to bend down to see it. Mechanically, it is very sound except for the power steering pump, makes some noise at idle.
The car has 150,000 and you would guess about half that by the way it drives. No rattles, no leaks, drives great, shifts great! This has clearly been very well maintained it whole life, still has the original window sticker and copy of extended service package from the dealer. The interior is in great condition, no stains- smoke damage, nothing. Exterior has been repainted; my guess would be within the last 8 years, fresh professional buff job. Paint is very good, definitely not a Macco job. Engine runs great, no smoke, revs nice, pulls hard. New plugs, wires, distributor rotor, rebuilt oil cooler. Suspension is tight, no rattles. Tires and brakes are in good shape with plenty of life left.
In my state this could be titled as a collector and save a bundle on insurance, think about it, classic sports car fully insured for about $40 a month. Decent on gas, 17-22 according to the sticker.
I am looking to get $3,000 because of its solid condition and fantastic shape. This below the market in my area and this is what I need to cover the expense on my ITS 2nd gen. My buddy just bought a GS in similar shape for $2,300 and another fella sold a GSL with 50,000 in similar shape for $5,000, and one on this site right after mine, it has 40k for $6,200. So $3,000 is more than fair in my opinion. I am located near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53105, delivery is negotiable. Please email me at speicalagenthazelton@hotmail.com for more pictures and of better quality, site doesn’t like hi-res pics. That is about all I can think of at the moment, please feel free to ask me any questions that I forgotten to address. Thanks for looking.
I also have an 86 parts car and an 88 vert in decent shape, body is little rusty, not bad, and a mint dash- all plastics. Both for sale. Thanks!!
