RC3 Update!-May 2005-A-Spec BBQ
So, it's May. Better late than never. The problem I have with that is it seems that all the rain and generally other bad weather we should have seen in April is hitting us know. This makes for some disappointing times as there are considerable fewer cruises than there should be.

Well, it's May none the less. The Revolution is now a memory. But there are more things coming up, so not to worry. In just under two weeks, we have the BBQ at A-Spec in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Schaumburg</st1:place> on the 28th. So here are the details. Get there at about 2PM. We eat our fill, talk a little and cruise at about 4:30 or so. I will have a map. I will have a few radios as well. One thing I'd like to talk about is what you guys want to see happen. I'm going to ask for volunteers for a true board.

There is a scheduled instructional event at Autobahn on Thursday June 2nd. It's $185 (which is a pretty standard price) for the day. I've gotten in contact with the organizers about this event to get more details and some background on them. This will be a good chance for those of you who want more seat time...or any seat time. They seem to have been in the area dealing with other clubs for some time. <o:p></o:p>
June 5th will play host to the RX-8 Group's first annual meet at The Autobarn Mazda dealership in Countryside on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">LaGrange Road</st1:address></st1:Street>. They're located on the west side of the street between <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Joliet</st1:place></st1:City> and <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">55th St</st1:address></st1:Street>. If you haven't already, register on the site to get your button for free admission. There will be plenty of food as well.<o:p></o:p>
Can't say that I can remember anything coming up in July, so I'll skip to August and MRR. This will be on the weekend of Aug 19th and as the 5th year, promises to be better than ever. Registration is currently open at www.rotaryrally.com.

I'm still trying to plan out something with an open test/tune night at Gingerman. This would be on a Friday night starting at about 5PM, so if you were interested, you'd have to make plans for a half day off work, school, or whatever else it is some of you may do. I'll keep you all posted about that. <o:p></o:p>
If anyone is interested in auto-x, let me know. Where I won't be setting them up myself, there are several other clubs that open their doors to anyone. In addition, for those of you who are looking to do anything, the advantage is a membership to Mazdaspeed Motosport Development and deep discounts on parts. There are stipulations, so check their site out for more details. www.mazdamotorsports.com
As some of you may have noticed, our site for all intents and purposes died. There are some server problems with the host and as such, I'm going to look for another one. I could just as easily host it myself, but my bandwidth is so low that it would be just as bad as having no site. I don't want to be like the rx7club site with all its issues. So stay tuned for that as we get that back up and running.<o:p></o:p>
So, with that, yea for May, and hope for the warm weather to get here...<o:p></o:p>
I can't say Happy Rotoring anymore as I think I'm going to get sued, so I'll say Keep on rotoring!
