RC3 Update! Apr-Meet on the 10th and the Rev
17 MORE DAYS!!!!!
I hope that all of you are on your way to completing everything if anything on your 7s. I can't wait to see everyone there. As of this writing there are only 11 RC3 members registered. Let's hope that it's just because some of you haven't registered. However, there are at least 183 cars that will be there.
First things first. This Sunday Steve Nang has recently opened a shop in Orland Park. He has invited us for a BBQ at about 10AM until whenever. We'll talk about the caravan to the Revolution there as well as other things for the year. You can find the address and directions here-http://billz.serverroom.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23 This will be the first official meet for the year. Sorry for the late notice, but you know how things go. If you need any additional info, please give me a call. 708-288-8762.
Also, regarding that website, please take the time to register there if you wish to continue to receive these monthly emails. Due to the revamping of how things go around Chicago, I'd like to get an accurate count of active members. We will in due time have a more formal way to run things, and this is the start of that.
To the big event, the third annual Rotary Revolution. I know some of you have mentioned that you aren't going. I have one word for you. GO! I unforunately didn't make it last year, and I know that some of you scoff at the thought of rain. Well, as part of the planning board this year, I can tell you that even if it rains, you will all still have a killer time. It's been a learning experience for Mike and Aron and I have to say that they've got it right. To refresh, we're leaving at about 2. Absolutely no later than 2:30. Keep an eye on this thread for location info-http://billz.serverroom.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10 I'll have a route printed up. We'll make a quick stop to pick up some southern suburb folks, then it's smooth sailing from there on out. I figure we'll be there before 5:30. If you have a GMRS radio, please bring it. I have four, but that won't be nearly enough. Sometime this summer Tom and I may have a new toy with a much increased range blasting in full stereo in your FM radio.
After the Revolution, I'll start to get serious about getting things organized. I'll be looking to you all for some help as I'll need some officers to help start to run things.
I'll go over some things that I'd like to try to setup. Cruises are the obvious norm, but joining in some autocrosses and road courses are examples of occasional events that I'd like to put together.
So with that...happy April. Do whatever you do to keep the rain at bay and hope to see you all on the 10th. If you can't make it, I'll see you in Indianapolis.
Happy rotoring!
