General RC3 meet so bring your cameras. Firgured we can chill out till 9ish, then cruise for 30 - 45 minutes. We should all decide on a cruise route, I dont really know the area down there VERY well soo..discuss!

Well looks like I will have to pass on this unless I can find a trans before then.

I guess somthing wasn't too happy inside the case because it decided to exit while leaving a hole in it's path out.

 

^Dude when did this happen? That sux though.

Wow that really sux. Any idea how/why it happened? Did you have any symptoms of a "bad" tranny?

I still haven't even seen your car yet and I don't think this will make it happen any sooner.

Riz, I had no warning or symptoms. I didn't even notice somthing was wrong untill I smelled the driping fluid on my exhaust. At first I even thought it must be another car, because it couldn't be mine. The car still shifts through all gears fine and stays in all gears. I will be pulling the tranny this week and opening the back half to see what really happened. I might get lucky and only half to replace the bolt that fell out and weld up the case. The bolt or what ever it was is still in the case, so that worries me a little.

 

Ya..dont drive it if ya dont absolutely have to.

Honestly guys, I want to bring it, but I need to get a LOT of things done. Basically, my headlight lens flew off TWICE, which totally sucks and now I'm having another one shipped. I have a fellow RX-7 members car at one of my dad's shops in need of stock turbos and an exhaust manifold, both of which I'll be providing him off my car. I also need to get this single turbo build started and completed so I can take my car back to the bodyshop to finish off whats needed with the car. Hopefully if I start now I can be done with almost everything in about a month.

I'm definitely going to try and make it down car or not and in any case I'll have some of my friends bring down their cars. Brandon, hopefully you could show one of them (350Z TT) whats good .
