Open Track Gingerman 5/20 & 5/21

Just wanted to let everyone know that this upcoming weekend is open track at Gingerman all day both days. I'll have to call up and make sure on the time but I believe she said 9-5 both days.

yeah Christ told me to call him if I head up Sunday. I'm unsure which day I'm going to go if I do.

I called them on Wednesday. It is in fact open all weekend. From what I understand the group for this weekend canceled. I will call again tomorrow to double check.

It was an interesting day at the track. There was my car and a motorcycle for the morning session. On lap 8, I ran off the track on turn 8 and destoyed my brand new feed replica front bumper and buckled the left front fender. Christian showed up about 10:30 and we waited until noon to go out again, since the track has quiet time, from 10 till noon, due to nearby Churches. Being a Christian myself, I certainly understood the quiet time deal as I have slept the best during church. NOON, I gave Chris thye wheel and he promptly got his *** handed to him by a vette and a Porsche. I understand, as I probably would'nt push his car either, since it's not mine. 15 minutes later, It's my turn to show Chris what a capable driver can do with my highly modified car. The second turn on the course is coming up rapidly at 95mph and I'm about to show Chris how to PROPERLY enter the turn. This is exactly the time, when I start stepping on the brake pedal, that I recall Chris telling me to test the brakes. as they were starting to fade a bit on him, during the last session. He should have been a bit more forceful with that warning. We were immediatly in a 270 degree spin into the grass, removing loose parts of the bumper from my previous run, and also putting 4 nice flat spots on my tires, allowing me to park the car on slopes now, without the use of a handbrake. Good thing is, I thinl I can fix damage from fun day for about $1500. Can't wait for the next open track day

I was keeping pace with them and was being ginger with your car.

Next time I'm in the car and I tell you to test and you jump on the gas, I'll reach over and pull the key.

Dave, sorry to hear about your bumper. Other than the two mishaps, sounds like you guys had a good time.
