A new month is fast approaching so you all know what that means... KC Rotary Meet October 2008! I want to try and keep the basic formula the same, Sunday, Shawnee Mission Park meet and greet/photo op, then drive around town. I was thinking we could have a real nice photo shoot this time, there is a very pretty spot in the park that Speedway Motors uses to take pictures of their cars... Last time I drove past they had a split window 'vette chillin up there. So all you aspiring photographers bring your cameras. The usual format has been first Sunday of the month, making the date Oct. 5. I am OK with that date but in the interest of having as many people/cars as possible we can negotiate a different time. I was wanting to have the meet around 2 or 3, that way we will have plenty of time for photo/get together then drive and perhaps dinner/snacks at Sonic. So, look at your calenders and lets hear some feedback.

Will probably be there after I get done at the Nostalgia Drags over at KCIR. Great show, lots of fun. Definitely worth the spectator's entry fee, and a hell of a lot of fun if you're in for free as a part of someone's crew...

I would pick a time around noon. With the season turning it gets dark at 7pm. Not a lot of time to chat and go on a drive before it gets dark. For those of us that have to drive 45 minutes to get to the park, it makes for a late day.

I would also suggest that a drive route be selected before everyone takes off for the drive.

yea it sucks, but it could have been worse. it just all depends on her insurance company, its going to cost $1039.58 in parts and then i need to get a quote from a shop for labor. they might just total it out.
