New IL Shop

Hey everyone, just dropping in to say hello and invite you all to check out my new shop in Libertyville, IL. My website, ProtegeGarage, has been in the business of selling Mazda parts for four years now. While we're expanding our focus to other vehicles, Mazdas - especially RX7s - will be near and dear to our hearts. I myself have been fortunate to own three RX7s, with more to come.

One of the Chicago radio stations will be helping us with our grand opening, but we're open right now and happy to have customers come check us out. I'd like to have a big mazda meet and local input from you guys on good times etc is welcome.

Glad to see another Rotary friendly shop in Illinois. Although there's a couple rotary shops in the Chicagoland area (A-Spec, Banzai), I think rotary owners back home need more options.

If/when I move back to IL, I'll keep you guys in mind. Until then, best of luck to you and your shop.

I'm going to the shop today after work to have them look at my trans. I will let everybody know how it goes.

I'm so excited to check this place out. It's always good to have another place in Chicago to have good quality work done.

I too would love to make it for the meet and greet on the 11th

Thanks for the nice compliments on the car, I really do a appreciate it. I have to say, that for the first time I feel 100% confident leaving my car at a shop. After seeing your place and how much time and effort you put into the show room really makes me hope that you put that same kind of attention to detail and effort into the work that you do.

I really look forward to doing business with you in the future as well (as long as this experience goes as planed)

How does it look for getting your car tuned on Friday? I still need to get a chance to work on mine.

To the shop owner. I am 50% owner of www.cj-motorsports.com . We have wholesale pricing to shops. We are starting a line for the FD. It should be finalized in the next month or so.

Nice shop by the way,
Brandon Lee

Hey Brandon,
As far as I can tell I should be there on Friday again that goes based on how fast Ken and his guys at Protege Garage work
I was trying to see if Christain has any room open on Saturday for me instead of Friday but he hasent gotten back to me yet. If everything pans out I should have my car fixed, tuned and rollin on new rims by Saturday!!!!!!!

It looks a little different now but my car is the one at the top of the forum. Before I did all the mods to it you may have seen me in the Schaumburg area. I thought I knew you but I may be mistaking your car for someone else's. What day are you go to see BDC?

well, we work as fast as possible, but quality work is first and foremost. the wiring in the car as it is right now is in desperate need of attention to say the least and the prior shops did the car no favors

if for whatever reason it cannot be ready by friday, i have more than a few people with great expertise in tuning both rx7s and microtechs who have offered up thier services. if you can, please give me a call tomorrow any time after 10am. i need to ask you some questions about the car.

May 12th huh? Dang I guess that means I have to wait to tear apart my project! Are you guys going to be a full service shop? I have tons of experiance with piston motors but absolutly none with ratary motors. I was hoping to take my tax returns and get my motor rebuilt with a mild street porting. And the while its out get the engine bay painted and re-wired, (previous owners screwed it up something fierce! ) Let me know.
