New here in Wisconsin!
Hello everyone! I dunno if this is the right forum or not...go ahead and move it if I'm way off...haha.
I'm 21, I live in Wisconsin, and I bought my first "real" car this week! I've built my car from the ground up, but I know little about rotaries, although I love them and I've always wanted to own one.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120100736988
1986 RX7, non turbo, manual. Base model
I'm still CRAZY excited about it... I pick it up on Tuesday!
The interior isn't in great shape, I planning on doing some weight reduction and probably keeping it N/A for now.
My previous vehicles:
1994 Saturn SC2 (totalled)
2000 Saturn SC1 (currently own)
1993 Saturn SL2 (bought and sold)
Here's my baby...had it for about 4 years now...

I've pretty much modified everything on the car....haha. Here's a brief list.
1998 DOHC engine swap
1996 DOHC transmission
Fidanza Flywheel/ACT 6 puck clutch
1993 DOHC rear subframe
Rear disc conversion
3" custom CAI
Ported intake mani/head
Shaved .020"
1995 DOHC windage tray
OBX header/high flow cat/2.25" catback/36" glasspack
SDA performance cams
Oil pressure/AFR gauges
Apexi SAFC-II
Custom 94a poly motormounts
NX Nitrous kit - 75 shot
1997 Leather Sedan seat conversion
20% tint all around
Black faced emblems
White faced gauges
Custom tinted tails
Sprint 2" lowering springs
KYB struts
205/40/17 Kumho Ectsta SPTs on Exel Ennio rims
Tinted clear corners
lots more...lol
Fastest time:
14.596@98.08 MPH (on a slipping clutch, no bottle heater or purge)
If I took it back to the strip, I would estimate I could run 14.2@100 with mods I've installed since then.
Right now, I think I plan on taking some of the stuff off that makes this car a PITA to drive...the solid motormounts, maybe the nitrous so I can run a stock clutch again..and putting the money into the RX7
So, anyways, now that this is way too long for an intro thread...give me some details on this car...the secrets...the best N/A mods and the weak points. I'm planning intake/exhaust/fuel tuning right now
(If this was a Saturn forum, i would say that the diff pin likes to pop out if you drive it hard. (I'm on my 4th transmission...haha))

Looks like you'll have some fun getting it titled. Knock that out first.
A lot of people say intake is not worth the fuss, I'm going to have to agree. Fuel tuning... you'll need a SAFC or Microtech or Haltech or something else like that.
Unknown mileage means the motor's about to pop. Have fun with that.
Don't drift.

As you can see, I have an SAFC in my Saturn. I'll probably pick another one up for the '7....seems to be the cheapest, easiest option.
According to the guy I bought it from, it's got 50k miles on it or so. He sold the odometer on eBay and swapped in a junkyard one that reads like, 210k or something....that's what he told me, anyways.

I had asked him to do it when he told me $900 for the car. He then called me back, told me someone offered him $1200, and he wasn't going to do the compression test.
Then I found that he forgot to close the eBay auction for it after he got his $1200 offer and promptly won it for $685. Haha.
I do plan on testing it as soon as I am able...I'll post the results.
