Only certain areas in Missouri have emissions testing. Most places outside the St. Louis area only have visual inspections for emissions.

Emissions will be exempt this year for all RX7's. Are you worried about the visual?

Emissions

Once you fail you must spend $450.00 on emissions related parts (not labor). You can bring in the receipts with a "Paid" stamp on them, if the car fails again you will be given a waiver. I brought in receipts for coils, spark plugs, O2 sensor, Catalytic converter, etc.

Or just wait until September (is that the right month?) when the car becomes exempt.

It's Sept 1, 2007 that 1995 and earlier cars begin not having to do emissions testing.

Just have a big enough pre-silencer and it'll pass the visual most likely.

I keep an old stock cat in my garage and swap it out for the inspection (it's only 4 bolts!)
