Exclamation Minnesota Meet

We are throwing together a dyno day, and I know a few of the guys on this forum are interested. (It is mainly RX7s and Eclipses as of now, but is by no means limited to those). If you are interested, please copy and paste the list with your name on it. (this is only if you will be DYNOING your car, if you want to show up and just hang out there is no need to sign up.)

1) GSTCLIPS/PSICLIPS (eclipse)
2) S-MAN (RX-7)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)

we need a nailed down date, time, and maximum cost. time is running out if you want people to show...

edit, i see the date/time/and addy. i hope this is going to be lasting for a good portion of time because i work for a living...

I ditto BigT. I work until 5PM and would not be able to get there until after 6. I would like to dyno my TurboFB but do not want to commit to anything not knowing how long the dyno session will last.

Is there then going to be a meet at a park later that eveing? A cookout or just a tire kicking event?

Now you find out how "easy" it is to plan these events. I had to keep up with planning and organizing for the RX7 gathering at my place in May.

We want to start dyno time about 12. We will check and see if we can stay late so that everyone getts time to run. We wan't to do a cook out later and if anyone needs a hotel i can set a block up at the Comfirt Inn and people can book their. 6/30/06 is when we want to do it. The max it will cost is $65 for 3pulls. But if we get 6 or more people we can get it down to $50. I work for a living also and if to many people are finding it hard to get that time off let me know and we will see if we can move it to that Saterday.

Beep777 if you have some ideas on how to better orginize this my ears are open. I just want everyone to know that i'm not doing this for me, i think it is just going to be alot of fun and i want to see what people are doing with their set ups.

I would FOR SURE be there if the dyno would be going well into the evening. I want to see what kind of power I am putting down with my TII. I work until 5-6 everynight and would not be able to be there till about 7. I think if it is possible it would be in the best interest for everyone to move it saturday. This way alot more people could make and we could have more time to BBQ afterwards.

Sorry S-Man,

You misunderstood. I am just saying it is a lot of work setting up a meet. All the other guys out there think your just picking a time and place and that is it. You do a lot of **** that nobody who attends even knows about. I had guys ragging on the boards how the event at my place in May sucked because there weren't a lot of cars there. You can't do much more than set it up and spread the word.

Keep up the good work. There is a place next to the Rotary God for guys like us who try and bring rotorheads together. That is better than being next to the evil Piston Satan.

brian, i would like to add that i enjoyed coming to your meet even if it was a so so turnout.

i know of at least three teamfc3s members that would for sure make it on saturday instead of friday,, including myself. plus it gives us an extra few hours to prep the car on friday night....

I wouldn't. J/K I want to dyno my car now and see what it puts out at the end of the summer with some more boost. Look i know some people wont have their cars ready by then so you want to push the date back. But people who have their car running now might not have it that way in a month or two. There is no reason we can't do this again later this summer. Even if i'm not going to dyno again i would love to help put this together again or just watch.

I guess whether to have the event on Friday or Saturday depends on the shop being the dyno is what this event is centered on. See if they will put up with a bunch of rotorheads on the weekend.

As far as a dyno event later on this summer/fall, there is nothing saying somebody else can't set up an event for that. There are enough RX-7 guys in the Cities where we should have more than a couple events per season.

Keep us posted.
