IL Microtech help PLEASE!!!!

Guys I have no other ideas here and am beyond frustrated at this point. I think we've finally narrowed my problems down to either bad wiring or a bad ECU. We've been having problems like ZERO adjustability of the timing with the Microtech, decel doesn’t work and sporadic firing of both training coils and this is just to name of few of the problems.

Now before we rip everything down and start over I figured maybe just MAYBE one of you guys would be willing to meet up with us so we can swap out the Microtech to see if the unit itself is bad or if its the wiring. Would anyone be willing to either let me plug their unit into my car or my unit into theirs????? PLEASE guys I would REALLY appreciate it.

It’s a Microtech LT8s

Thanks

Sounds like its the unit, its pretty easy to wire up an LT8s. Good luck trying to get somone to swap with you. I doubt anyone would want a possibly bad ECU in their car or their good ECU plugged into your bad harness. Check your grounds and all your wiring or send your ECU on that long vacation to Australia.

Yeah I just was hoping for the best and possibly fine myself a good samaritan LOL.

I definitely hear what you're saying in relation to the wiring but with my luck and the way this car has been going, it would be just my luck that something WAY out of the norm is wrong with it.

Did you triple check your wiring? I had a boost gauge issue that I ended up sending back the components on. Issue turned out to be mine, using the same color wire for 2 things can trick you sometimes.

I haven't completely checked the wiring yet but the problems don't seem to line up with just wiring that's why I'm leaning towards the Microtech itself. I'm going to go though it all with my tuner one more time just to be on the safe side because I don't want to assume its the unit and it end up being wiring. I just cant take this **** any more. Just when you thing the car may be actually finished and road worthy it turns around and bites you in the *** AGAIN.

Have you tried a simple digi multimeter check from computer till its finishing point to check if a wire is faulty.?

It does sound like you have a bad ecu though.
