Hey all,
I just picked up a 88 SE model a few weeks ago and since getting it home I havent been able to restart it. Is anyone around the Wixom/Novi 48393 area that could maybe help me out with this thing?
I drove it home the 30 miles from Hamtramck without issue but I cant get it restarted. Its alsmost there, I performed the deflood procedure but I dont know what Im looking at lol. Learning a lot though.

So last night I was able to get the 13b 6 port running for about 4 seconds. I pretty much, just wanted to see if it really does run before I go spending a bunch of time swapping the motor. I pulled out one plug to check for spark, I was able to get ample amount of spark. Then we applied 5 milliliters of 10w30 motoroil with a pipette in to the combustion chamber inserted the NGK plug and then proceeded to do the other combustion chamber.
We then attempted to jump start the RX7, took about 3 times with 10 seconds intervals before it started. It ran for about 4 seconds and then quit.
Thanks that we noted. That could help.
Replace the plugs and wires.
Drain the old fuel and replace with fresh fuel.
Give the motor a oil change.
This car as been sitting in storage or a unknown about of time. Im going to be guessing it was sitting for at least 5 years.

Where can I find a pippete or syringe at for injecting the oil? I have been using a cumbersome vinyl tube and it takes forever to inject and is hard to do.
Ted.
I still have not been able to get it running. I replaced the battery, wires, plugs, so far. Its close and almost started a couple times and even backfired while cranking once. I just need to get some more time to mess with it I think. I want to keep the car but my daily blew a cylinder and I have been getting rides with my girlfriend, so if I cant get this thing to run soon it will have to go.

Search around the internet for lab supply, but most places sell them by the case. Im sure you could stop in at a university or check the yellow pages in your area that does testing. They shouldent have a problem giving you one. The type you are looking for is a pasteur pipette.

Are you trying to shoot oil into the sparkplug holes to start a flooded engine? If so, get a turkey baster from your local grocery store and use Seafoam instead of oil....

i think i found it...my new rx7! tell me what you think!
heres what the guy said "I have an 86 RX7 with new flywheel, front brakes, and an extra transmission. It does need the brakes bled and has some roughness when it idles with the clutch engaged. Body is in pretty good condition and the interior is fair.I'd take $500 for it."
