Michigan 1st Gen Owners

I have been contacted through a friend by Dan Zimmermann of Jeep. He is part of the vehicle selection committee for the "Eyes on Design" show that will be held on June 26th at the Edsel Ford Estate in Grosse Point, MI.

He is looking for a clean example of a 1st Gen RX-7 (79-85) for the Postwar Japan category.

I am not sure if my car will be available or if it will be good enough so I volunteered to get the word out to see if anyone is interested.

The key to all of this is that he only has two days to get a car selected and signed up for the show.

If you have a clean 1st gen and are available June 26th, PM me or email Mr. Zimmermann: DZimmermann1 @ aol.com.

Hmm...well I know my 79 would not be a good candidate. I wonder what other MI 1st gens there might be available.

I'd also post this on the following websites:

Yes stock appearing seems to be part of it. I sent him some pictures of my car. He liked it but asked if I had the stock wheels. I can't go though due to other things going on. If you are interested e-mail him. I do believe he has some leads on cars though.

Just for reference here is the website for the event.

It is actually a pretty well regarded car show. It draws some of the top executives of all the OEMs. It would be fun to go. I would be way outclassed though.
