Mazda car show - St. Louis - January 27th - Cash and prizes!
New thread just about the car show. This will be in conjunction with the Tuxedo Park Racing open house.
In addition to showcasing some of our race cars and customer cars, Tuxedo Park Racing is hosting a small car show open to Mazda powered or Mazda bodied vehicles only. The show and open house will run from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
First place will receive $100 cash, plus a cool trophy. Second and third will receive ribbons and glory. Everyone who enters can expect to have a great time at the open house.
Rules:
If you want to participate, you must e-mail steve@tuxedoparkracing.com with a brief description of your vehicle, no later than Wednesday, January 17th. Pictures are a plus but not required.
10-12 finalists will be selected based on these e-mail to participate in the show. Notification will be e-mailed and posted here no later than Saturday, January 20th.
Finalists will be set up indoors in our shop in Sauget, IL for viewing. All finalists must be able to arrive by 10:00 a.m. January 27th for vehicle placement, and must be able to leave your vehicle until 4:00 p.m. for public display. There is plenty of space outside for trailer storage if you need it.
All cars will be judged by Tuxedo Park Racing staff on one criteria only: best quality build for the car's purpose. That means that whether your car is built for show, street, strip or track, it could win, as long as it is well put together.
No graphics, decals or signs more risque than PG-13 and no advertisement of direct competitors to Tuxedo Park Racing is allowed. Decals from nationally known performance shops such as Mazdatrix, Pettit, Gotham etc, are okay, if in doubt please ask first.
Trophy presentation will be at 2:00 p.m. We anticipate that we will have some lovely ladies from the Penthouse Club on hand to present the trophies.
This is going to be a fun day - come and be a part of it!

Directions to the show/open house:
From I-70/55/64 take Route 3 South. This is the last Illinois exit when headed west, and the first when headed east, just across the river from downtown St. Louis.
Go through one traffic light then take a right in front of the gas station on "Yellow Brick Road".
Head toward "Pop's" nightclub, then turn right immediately in front of the "Penthouse Club". Drive north along the building until you get to Bay #4 (there are big "4's" painted on the wall).
Entrance is through the roll-up door. If the door is closed, lift it up and come on in. We will have a temporary "person sized" door up in place of the roll-up after 11:00 for foot traffic.
Thanks!
Steven

Extending the deadline until Wednesday. There is still room for a couple more cars.
No FD's have entered yet!!!! What is up with that?
I've got at least one each of 1st gen, 2nd gen, Miata, Protege, Millenia, RX-8, MX-6 - SOMEONE WITH AN FD PLEASE ENTER!
For that matter if you know someone with a cool MX-3, Mazda 3 or Mazda 6, I'd like to see one or more of those too.
E-mail steve@tuxedoparkracing.com if you can be there from 10:30 until 4:00. No entry fee, and a chance at $100, what is holding you back?
