IL Looking for some help in the Chicagoland area

Hi Everyone:

As the title states, I need a bit of help finishing up my FD. I messed with the TPS and now the car is idling high (3K) and wont drop down even when the engine is warm. Vacuum hoses seems fine. The only thing different is on the UIM I put 2 block off plates and messed with the TPS. I have a CEL code of 12 (Throttle sensor - full range) and I believe it has to be the TPS not being in the proper voltage range. Anyone local have any experience with dialing in the idle on an FD, any help would be appreciated.

Hey Charlie, so your back for just the summer? Thanks for the help man I appreciate it. How does your schedule look for this coming Sunday?

As for the block, I decided to give it to Ryan (MoreMazda) as payment for helping me with the swap.

Why wouldn't you post this in the local forums as well?

Have you adjusted your TPS to get back into spec?

If where talking about the same Manolo, the crazy rotorhead Puerto rican then I'm familiar with his work. Yes he knows how to build crazy fast rotaries . I think he's a bit far from my current location, nor do I want to drive the car in its current condition. Thanks for the reply back!

Hey Christian, whats going on buddy. I wanted to first post here since most people converge here first, but i'll def post on RC3 and see what kind of response I get.

Well, the main problem now is that my dad lovingly adjusted all the adjustment points on the TB (the 3 screw/nuts and that screw w/ the spring kinda behind the TPS) what happen is when you put on the TPS back to the housing (just to the point where you just have it attached) it keeps the butterflies (the ones w/ 2 butterflies) partially open and I'm not sure how to set it back to spec (the TB).

Gotcha.

Being a visual kinda guy, I'd need to see it to figure it out. If worse comes to worse, I have an old TB that you have use if need be. It's still in stock form so if that helps at all with any deadlines you may have, lemme know.
