Local Minnesota custom 12a custom blowthrough turbo setup for sale
This message is directed primarily at local persons interested in a 'near drop in'
turbo kit for a 12a engined car. This is because shipping is very easy - come and get it will save you money! Those who want it shipped - I will consider it after a while only - Sorry packaging this stuff all up will take several boxes and such that will take me a lot of effort.
- Jspec S4 turbo with twin ported scroll. Dynamic flapper removed, in excellent working order.
- Jspec S4 turbo manifold modified with custom flange to fit a 12a.
- 50DCO weber and intake manifold and turbo plenum to contain the boost
- S4 intercooler and custom piping for front mount intercooler - or you can make your own intercooler setup.
- S4 turbo water pump and housing modified to fit a 12a and water lines for the turbo
- locked distrubuter for max advance for the turbo - greatly increases lowend response
- radiator support mount on passenger side cut out for the intercooler piping
- front cover modified as a oil return for the turbo and clearance for S4 water pump housing - oil metering removed - use 2cycle oil in fuel tank instead
- custom oil feed line from the lower bango bolt oil feed to turbo
- Down pipe - unknown brand - 2-1/2 mandrill bent
- Full exhuast system 2-1/2 piping that can fit to a stock 12a muffler or to a 2-1/2 ricey muffler I had custom made.
- A boost gauge is included also
- a blow off valve - unknown brand
- Cone air filter
This is all yours for $1250 b/o!!!
All the money involved in making this kit for myself probably twice this and all the important work is done for you. But it has proven to be a very fun setup that you would enjoy greatly
YOU do need to take the engine out to install the modified front cover. A chain hoist mounted to a 2 2x4's nailed together above the garage is more then strong enough to lift a 12a in or out. Minor things you would need is some hose clamps and various hoses. A front mount oil cooler is needed or tap your lower oil bolt on the rear end plate if you use a water/oil cooler to fit the oil feed for the turbo.
The fuel system however for this setup is NOT for sale - needed for my next project - Sorry!!
aeromotive street rod fuel pump and aeromotive rising rate fuel regulator worked great for mine.
Plumb a larger return line and add a larger return line into the tank - easier then you think to make. This setup works great on a stock 12a or even better power with a large streetported 12a - but less MPG too and would definitely need a stronger clutch pressure plate with the streetport.
I have got a 14.1 with a stock 12a engine - I have used a streetport also with excellent power. It works very well when adjusted correctly.
I am willing to lend some advice and 'minor' help to anyone local in a heated garage area if its winter time to make the system work correctly for your car as included in the price.
