My response to this ad online is here:

You may find this message out of line but I am sending it to assit you in the sale of this vehicle.

1 - The engine in this vehicle is a 13B non turbo rotary engine. I mention this because a rotary engine is not like any other engine in production (aside from the mazda rx8). It is a Wankel engine. No pistons. It takes special care and an even more carefule buyer. Selling this vehicle to your average 16 year old will result in a blown motor and an upset customer against your company.

2 - 5k is a tad on the high side for a non turbo rx7. Dont get me wrong, you will probably get that from someone that doesnt fully understand the history behind this model of vehicle, but any purist will try to talk you down to somewhere in the neighborhood of 2k. Especially if it has the original non turbo engine in it.

3 - To assist with your sale, a few added features of this vehicle are 16"allow rims, 4 piston front calipers, (already mentioned) electronically adjustable suspension, larger sway bars, independant front and rear suspension, power door locks, power windows, power steering, factory anti-theft system (passive), and less than 31000 second gen rx7s still registered in the united states ( on average around 3000 per year of the non turbo model, still plated and being drive) which is substantially less than almost any other vehicle driven today.

I own some of the original dealer only pamphlets and reading material published and disributed with a 1988 model rx7 if you are intersted in copying and giving to the new owner of this vehicle. Or if you have questions about any other running issues or model options of the vehicle as i would love to see this RX-7 goto a rotary enthusiast. Feel free to contact me at the information attached to this message. Again, I meant no disrespect with this comment, I am just an enthusiast trying to help these great condition vehicles find great homes in the northern IL area.

---------------------

Now given im sort of a purist (having an rx7 tattoo) but i try to lean hard on dealers taking advantage of the average person trying to purchase our beloved rotaries. especially when theyre asking over 5k for a GXL??? As far as im concerned it better have 32k miles on it for that price. Yes Ive been told im a dick.. and Im ok with that. Just figured I would post here for anyone looking for a 7 to see whats in the area, maybe you can haggle them down.
