Laying new roots in Indy
Zinx mentioned getting some enthused 7 owners, who I know are still out there, together in Indy soon, even if it's on a small scale. Anyone who is interested, please suggest venues. In the future, I would like to work on organizing something, perhaps with bi-monthly events, and an annual meet or two, starting in Spring/Summer 2009. But for now, let's try to get some of us together before the winter.

I'm interested. It probably needs to be a Saturday or Sunday. I bet we'll have a small enough group we could meet about anywhere. I suggest meeting up at a restaurant. We could all do lunch somewhere and then maybe go for a short cruse or just hang out in the parking lot and BS.
I vote for Saturday, October 11th, sometime around lunch or dinner.

A small Indy rotary meet would be awesome. I've been working on my FB for the past 2 years, and it's pretty much finished now. Another month would really give me some time to iron out the small annoyances. Plus, I'd love the opportunity to ride in an FD. I've seen many in person, but have never had that privelege yet.
I'll post a link to this thread in the Ft. Wayne section too. I know those guys get together quite a bit, so some of them might be up for an Indy area meet. Wouldn't be too much farther for them to drive.

Glad we've got some interest! Unfortunately, I think I'll be in Evansville that Saturday, so I may miss you guys. Another idea I had was to get our own tailgate going for a Colts game, perhaps the Nov. 2 game against the Pat's (BOO!) because it is a later game - 8:15 I think.
Where around Indy does everyone live? Perhaps we could get a majority consensus on a side of town on which to meet.

Terrified.
Also I would much prefer a dinner time schedule. I work seconds and definitely wouldn't be awake by the time you guys are probably used to eating lunch, or I'd be just getting up.

Unless I can find the time to my 12A back into my FB, I'll be in my Rx8 if I can get the day off. I'll go ahead and try to schedule it off tonight. Just know that the Winning Blue Rx8 with the bearded short guy driving it is truly an FB guy at heart.

Any weekend besides Oct 10-12 works for me. It seems as though several people are coming from the north and the east, so another idea may be to meet up somewhere in Hamilton Co. That would give us some decent roads for cruising if anyone wants to. Does Saturday the 18th work for anyone?

I'm available any of those dates as well, so long as there isn't too many people scheduled off that weekend.
Oh and Matt, I'm always missing my FB. Still never been in quite as fun a car as that thing. Its getting so close to being back on the road as well. I just got the oil line, waiting on a new flywheel because the old one was just... well, 24 years old.
This winter will be when I'm putting together the engine I plan on keeping in it full time.

P.S. I just got home and saw a red FD parked around the corner from my place. It has Hamilton Co plates. Anyone know whose that is and if he/she is on the forum?
