Hmm, too bad. They had another event before the import race? Sounds weird -- I don't think they've done that in the past -- that would definitely suck if they were scheduled to start at a certain time and didn't. Would be different if it was a rain delay...
Cost is definitely better than most tracks I think -- payouts are usually pretty nice too. I will say this, in the past when the import race is going, it's usually not the track owner that's running the program. It's been the race sponsor (Haiku) -- which honestly I've not been impressed with their organization skills and whatnot -- it's fairly obvious they're not experienced at organizing events like that and keeping them running.
I know the owner pretty well though and I know him well enough that he's always concerned about making sure events run smoothly and that people enjoy themselves out there whether they are racing or spectating. I'd encourage you to give them feedback if you have any -- if you are constructive and just express your feelings w/o BS'ing him or whining or crying, I know he'll listen.
Anyway, don't count the track out because of one bad event -- give them another shot sometime on a regular race event. I haven't worked out there for several years, but I know that things can and do run a lot smoother most of the time (at least when I worked there).

'93 TT, missing the front end. Origin bodykit waiting to go on, been to busy with teh Honduhs...

Count me in!
If anyone wants money tossed down ahead of time, I'm willing to so we can get a spot reserved.

Hey kanin, I didn't know there were any 2nd gen 7 guys so close. It seems like all the 7 owners around here are crazy 1st gen owners. I started with a 2nd gen and still have a neglected '87 in my shelter but I have a silver '93 now. It's been a while since there were any 7's in the parade. K.C. RX-7 club talked about coming down once or twice to be in it but it never happened. I'd rather watch the parade than be in it personally. Driving in a parade is like driving in rush hour. If I'm going to drive I want an open road ahead. If the picnic runs late enough I still might come by. Maybe I'll see you there?
